I haven't been there in years and I suspect it has changed quite a bit from when I played there regularly back in the '60s and '70s. I used to drive out there from Brooklyn then with my brother, father and a family friend. We'd get there about 3:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, sign in and then go to a diner on Hempstead Tpke (right off the Seaford) for a good breakfast. Back to the course and hit some balls, practice putting and then start playing about 7:30 or so. OK, it was usually a five hour round but it was so much fun. Even the near riots in the courtyard leading up to the clubhouse (fights over accused sneaking into line).

If they still have daily lockers up in the clubhouse it's a great way to enjoy the day. You can take a shower after playing and then go down to the dining area and eat a leisurely lunch. Great days!!

I ended up moving ten minutes away from the courses but was unable to physically play anymore. That was a tease.
