Who knows what goes on in other people's heads? It's no easier to differentiate Fish's psyche from that of the run of the mill criminal who does home invasions or commits crimes against the elderly. How do you figure a guy like that out? You need to be a psychiatrist. Above my paygrade.

Being by fat Tony's side for all the 70tys into the 80tys he must have identifed tons of photos for the feds. All the coming and goings at the palma boys social club.

Most of them rat because they don't want to do the time after doing the crime. Those are the ones that rat after they are arrested and facing charges. I would include Fish in that category. They always come up with the excuse that they were abandoned or robbed or insulted.

Others rat because the family turned on them or they feel the family turned on them. That would be guys like Al D'Arco, Pete Chiodo, and Ken Eto. Chiodo was facing charges, but he didn't rat until after they shot him 14 times. D'Arco ratted because he thought they were going to kill him in the hotel room. Whether that was a setup or not, I think Casso would have eventually ordered his murder. Eto was facing charges but didn't rat until he took three bullets to the head.

Fish was gonna get 50 to 100 years in all his counts they had his mouth all over the palma tapes then anyone's. Extorting alot of people. He did avoid a life sentence without a murder. He was indicted in the second concrete case. With Neil migloir and a bunch of big guys but I'm pretty sure they flipped it.
