Can you vote in primaries where you live if you aren't registered as a specific parties member?

I know in some states you can, some you can't.


Each state's election code dictates whether a state is an open primary state or a closed primary state. Texas is a closed primary state, but operates as an open primary state. One can vote in any party's primary, but one can only vote in one.
