For some reason, Cilla Black was never as big in the US as she was in the UK. Strange... She had quite a career, and was certainly (IMO) the equal of any of her contemporaries.

I remember - I think it was back in the '70s - that Helen Reddy also recorded "You're My World" (which, incidentally, was originally an Italian song). Very close to Cilla Black's version, as I recall.

Cilla was a icon here in England and yes she was from Liverpool and toured and played with The Beatles in the early days..Had a successful TV career in the 80's and 90's

One of the news outlets reported that "the husband of Kathy Lee Gifford died," as if that was all he was. Later after a bunch of people complained on Twitter he updated the report to say "Gifford was a Giants legend, NFL Hall of Famer, & sports broadcaster. Married to Kathie Lee for nearly 30 years. He was 84."

What a shame that he was reduced to just being Kathy Lee Gifford's husband.

No, not this time. As a matter of fact, I don't believe anyone picked him.

From what I heard on the television news report earlier today, Frank Gifford's death was sudden and unexpected.

Ever meet Howard Cosell? I have look him up on YouTube. You never see him with both hands exposed. I forget how he died but he definately had the shakes in one arm.

Howard Cosell died April 23, 1995 from a cardiac embolism (a blood clot in his heart). In later life he battled cancer and, among other things, Parkinson's Disease.

But, as far as never seeing him with both hands exposed...

He was a good speaker, but he was very partisan and a very hateful person to those with whom he disagreed, often accusing the GOP of the atrocities that the Democrats did in a previous generation.

You didn't say exactly when you met him, but it's entirely possible that by then the Parkinson's symptoms were already starting to show. He may have concealed the hand that had obvious trembling, but this would not have shown in still photographs.
