Jack Larson, best known to those of us of a certain age for playing Jimmy Olsen in the 1950's TV series "The Adventures of Superman", has died at age 87. NY Times obituaryR.I.P. Signor V.

Yogi Berra has died. He was 90 years old.
Most famous as the catcher of the Yankees in the late '40s through the mid '60s he was also involved with management of the Yanks and Mets. He was popular as a fan favorite for his malaprops.
R.I.P. #8
Edit: Note to scorekeeper - I should get credit for three more kills. Berra, above plus businessman Irving Kahn who died in February and Ruth Newman, SF earthquake survivor who died three weeks ago.

I think we're due for a general list update from our scorekeeper. Besides SC, I see several people picked Yogi Berra (though I was not one of them, strangely enough).
I'm up to ten kills, with Theodore Bikel, Nova Pilbeam and Dickie Moore to add to the update.
Still, there are more than three months left this year, and as Yogi once said, "It ain't over till it's over!"

Surprised nobody mentioned this (perhaps nobody dared): Adult film actress/producer Candida Royalle died September 7 after a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 64. Interestingly enough, she graduated from my old high school - the High School of Art & Design in NYC, though I didn't know her (in any sense of the word) because she was a couple of years older than me. Yogi Berra was some player. Did he own yahoo choclate drink? I think you mean Yoohoo - but no, he didn't own it. I definitely agree - Yogi was one of baseball's greats. Yogi and Yoohoo Signor V.

Jimmy Olsen was 87 years old? God help me. It's all downhill now .

Jimmy Olsen was 87 years old? God help me. It's all downhill now . Well, maybe not... Phyllis Coates (TV Lois Lane #1) is 88 and Noel Neill (Lois in two movie serials and TV's #2) turns 95 next month. Interesting trivia note: After recovering from a broken hip five years ago, Ms. Neill has now retired and relocated to Metropolis, Illinois. Signor V.

Oh yea, he was in a lot of Disney movies. I loved Old Yeller. When I was a kid there was a movie theater walking distance from my house. They'd play movies a couple years after their release. I think went to see Old Yeller every time it played. So sad for poor Yeller. "Here Yeller, Come back Yeller, The best dog gone dog in the West." So sorry to hear of his passing. I read in another article it was cancer. TIS

Also with Ronald Reagan in "This Is the Army." She wrapped up all those roles by the time she was 18.

She was magnificent; worth seeing in whatever she did. The Quiet Man was always one of my favorites, and certainly Miracle on 34th Street (to name only two). A couple of years back, TCM's Robert Osborne interviewed her. Alas, I wish it could have gone on much longer, but even past 90, she was still full of "piss and vinegar" as the saying goes. A great interview: TCM Interview R.I.P. Signor V.

And everyone had her on their lists... everyone, that is, except Geoff! This from the guy who constantly whines that the list isn't updated? To shame the guy who updates the lists? I thought you were smarter than that.
