This type of news always hits me hard.

My father died after complications from surgery. We mourned..eventually accepted reality and tried to move on with life.

Years later, we get notified that Charles Cullen, may or may not have had something to do with my father's demise. He was working in the same hospital on the same night.

Didn't write this for sympathy or anything..as I'm way beyond that but these types of random attacks on innocent people just gives me a pain in the chest.

I didn't put two and two together, because I never think about it or discuss it, but that's what is is. Had a phone discussion with a good friend yesterday about these shootings and I finally felt comfortable discussing it.

Sorry to hear that. I remember reading about Cullen. The hospitals he worked at covered up what he did and were uncooperative with investigators.

Here's a list of victims of the San Bernardino terrorists. One, Tin Nguyen, lived in Santa Ana, in Orange County, not far from me and probably several other posters. Another was a Messianic Jew who got into an argument with the male killer two weeks earlier. Apparently the killer took the position that Islam was not a religion of peace and Nicholas Thalasinos disagreed. Looks like he proved Thalasinos right. Bennetta Betbadal was a Christian who fled Iran when Muslim extremists took over the country. Sadly she was killed by one in her adopted country.

Things that I've experienced and seen growing showed me that people are expendable in the eyes of institutions, organizations,etc. So hospitals not cooperating with legal investigations is par for the course...trying to limit their liability.
I can never be hoodwinked into thinking that ANY institution,company, or group cares about me or has my best interest as heart. You've read me speak about the manipulation of individuals by leaders/groups who use the words "We" and "Us" to get the masses to do their bidding.


THE most extreme example of this kind of hypnotism is the case of killers/suicide bombers where previously rational human beings become monsters and slaughter innocent people.

I grew up in and have lived in cities with long histories of Muslims.Africans,Asians and African Americans.Sunni Muslims mainly but Nation of Islam also. Never an incidence of religious inspired violence...and remember Newark has one of the longest traditions of Islamic followers/believers in the country.

I heard it had something to do with all the school buses. They referred to it as a "fluid situation" with the buses. Let's see what they tell us at the press conference.

It started out where they thought it was school bus related but turns out, as I understand it, LAUSD school board member got e-mail threatening many of the schools with backpacks with bombs and gun violence. Superintendent decided to close all LAUSD schools. So far, looks like author of e-mail claimed to be a devout Muslim BUT authorities said he didn't capitalize "Allah" along with other things he did not reference that make them think he was NOT Muslim. Also, e-mail showed from Germany,but authorities think it was routed thru Germany, but possibly written in the US.

Btw, NYC got same/similar e-mail and dismissed as hoax. As result criticized LA super for closing schools. No offense, but in this case, NYC should STFU. (respectfully) LOL

People in charge in L.A. would NEVER be able to explain if something did happen today and they just brushed it off as a bogus threat.

NYC has more experience dealing with these types of threats and alerts(because of history)...and definitely gets more state and federal funding for such preparation and it was poor choice of words to imply that L.A. shouldn't have reacted the way it did.

Hate when politicians directly or indirectly play these "chest beating" games. I agree with you TIS....if it was DiBlasio or Bratton ...they should have just kept their comments about local safety.

For DiBlasio aka the German who marries a Lesbian. He took a lot of heat right after he got elected for closing down the schools for a little snow storm. So if he is advised by the fbi is not credible he is keeping the schools open.

The only time he will close the schools if it is an occupy wall street even and he is marching with them.

DiBlasio is an Italian name. It's the mayor's mother's last name.

True. His maternal grandparents were Itallian immigrants. Mom's maiden name was DeBlasio. Don't know anything about "gay" wife. Never heard about that.
