Reports of Yoko Ono being rushed to Mt Sinai hospital NYC after suffering a stroke.

She was actually rushed to Mt Sinai WEST (formerly St Luke's). The same hospital to which husband John Lennon was rushed and where he died.

UPDATE: One of the local news stations is reporting that a spokesman for Ono is claiming that she had severe flu symptoms. The news station is reporting from a different source that Ono was unconscious when she was transported to the hospital.

She probably still lives in the Dakota building and it is the best emergency hospital in the area.

On page 9 of this thread I posted about a local case of something similar happening.

In the past 2 years I've read about 15 cases of either people blaming fictitious Black people for violent crimes, or people blaming fictitious White people for hate crimes.

Luckily, in all of the cases, law enforcement examined the facts and the consistency of the stories and determined they were based on lies.

I thought that the publicity given to each of these cases would discourage people from doing it again and again but keeps happening.

Lock everybody up who is giving false statements to police about crimes.

I think the unfortunate thing about this and the case from page 9 is that it only make the real struggle harder. Racially motivated hate crimes and speech do happen and to marginalize these things the actually happened for political reason or an attempt to become a figure head of the local civil rights movement is despicable

Hillary Clinton cited the Albany case as an example of racism before the students were outed and charged for the hoax. That appears to be a major issue for a lot of these racial hoax cases - a left-wing political component. It ends up creating a political narrative that when challenged the challenger is called racist.

While I am there people were there wanting other people to sign a petition to end the death penalty.

They asked me to sign it. I said sure I told her you know why I am signing this? Because the longer prisoners live the more chance of them killing a guard.

After the earthquake in Haiti, former dictator Baby Doc Duvalier returned to the island in poor health and was walking around freely. Duvaliers committed as many atrocities against humanity as ANY leaders in history.Most Haitians are in America(or Canada) directly because of how they terrorized the people and wrecked the economy. Rather than someone taking him out....the very people he terrorized felt sorry for him and let him live. He lived out the rest of his pathetic life in peace.

I've said for years, it's not about what happens to you...it's about what you do about it. Praying for enemies, forgiving your tormentors? Nobody does that.

BF: If the people involved in killing Anderson are poor the estate won't get anything or very little, making the judgment symbolic. I think better restitution would have been longer prison sentences for the murderers, or the death penalty.

Gets: I believe in praying and forgiving too, but I don't believe that forgiveness by the victim means the perpetrator gets to escape punishment from the government. I also believe that forgiveness is contingent on repentance. If someone is continuing to harm people or defending it, then that person should not be forgiven until he or she stops and admits the wrongness of it. If a person is truly sorry, there is no expectation of reward or escape from punishment. A killer who is truly sorry turns himself in, pleads guilty and accepts whatever punishment is due, and then apologizes to the family and everyone else for his evil act. A person who apologizes after getting caught isn't sorry for anything except getting caught. Criminal heads of state are rarely truly sorry for anything.
