Patty Duke, a talented tv and movie actress, died today. She was 69 years old. Stunning performance in "The Miracle Worker" for her and Anne Bancroft. If anyone has never seen the movie, please do so. she lived in the city I lived in, cda id, saw her a number of times, she was a nice lady. it is a loss for my community.

One of the great TV character actors, William Schallert, played Patty's father on her show. He survives her, at 93. My dad was surprised that he was still alive some months ago, when he saw him on a promo for the show on MeTV. She did a lot of great work during her time, and I still need to see the Miracle Worker. She was married to Gomez, and Sean Astin is her oldest child. She was an advocate for mental health issues, being diagnosed with bi-polar disorder in 1982. RIP She was married 4 times..I heard she had bipolar too...piece of my childhood. The Flying Nun...I had a Friend in Brooklyn that was Her cousin..RIP

British actor Douglas Wilmer died March 31 at the age of 96. A prolific character actor, he was perhaps best known for portraying Sherlock Holmes in a 1960's BBC television series. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1999. A lovely gentleman. He was on my list. R.I.P. Signor V.

Aw, c'mon! He was 96 years old! Actor/singer (and Canadian legend) Don Francks died April 3rd at age 84. He was probably best known to American audiences as "Woody Mahoney" (a character loosely based on Woody Guthrie) in Francis Ford Coppola's 1968 film version of "Finian's Rainbow", appearing with Fred Astaire and Petula Clark. Signor V.

I remember Mulligan but not well. Can you tell me more about him.
I used to dig wrestling way back when.
Guys I really remember Bruno Smmartino, Waldo Von Erick, chief jay throng bow, Kangaroo brothers, sciclians Tony alto-more and his partner Lou Albano his signature move fingers in the opponents eyes that was also mine :), Bobo Brazil, calypso kid, Antonio Rocca, can go on and on. It was the golden age of wrestling.
One of the guys I only saw one time he was not in the wwf. It was a show at the becon theather Lou Thiez he was so athletic he was amazing he was in his 60s back then.
People really thought it was real back them. I saw Waldo Von Erick stabbed by someone at the garden the old one. Iron sheik I forget his name the guy that stood on the top rope and head but a guy on the Mat. I think he actually murdered someone yrs ago o yes Jimmy super fly snuka

Note that this Will Smith is NOT the actor from "Independence Day" and "Men in Black", etc. THIS Will Smith was the former Saints football player. (He was shot to death after a traffic accident dispute). When I saw the headline of this story I immediately thought the actor. Since I know next to nothing about any sports person, I have never heard of this Will Smith. Anyway, very sad. TIS

Anne Jackson died April 12 at age 90. A fine actress in her own right, she was the widow of Eli Wallach (Don Altobello in GF3).
Around 15 years ago, we saw the two of them in a two-person theatrical retrospective of their roles in various Tennessee Williams plays throughout their long careers. Got to speak with them a bit afterward. Wonderful show, and the two of them were a real class act.
She was on my list.
