How the mighty have fallen, can't help to think that when I look at LCN as a whole when I compare your chart to the famous one of The Commission with all the bosses across the states shown on the map at the Valachi hearings in '63. RICO really did a number on them..
Billy in california the LA family was called the mickey mouse mafia because was a small potato and at his peak had 60 made men while san jose and san francisco had 25 and 30 made men so all together they don't come to equal the Colombos who have always been the smallest of the five families. The Smaldones never was some more then a gambling ring same thing for the dallas family. The other families had a strong and powerful boss (marcello,Scalish ecc) that dont wanted to made new blood so when the RICO and the Feds hit hard there are no men to replace the losses. But what really killed many families was that Italians integrating and exiting out of the little Italies, they decided that they could make their way in life honestly, and so the recruiting pool was cleared, this has killed many families, in my opinion .

I made this chart of the defunct and active families. In the defunct I made the names of who's thinked is running what left of the family in other like san francisco, san jose, dallas or new orleans that are defunct with no made men alive,I made the last boss photo. Small mistake, I forgot the Bufalinos, now updated the chart.
Good chart. Basically correct. But where did you get Parillo as acting boss for New England?

Without a doubt. The average Italian American kid today is softer than my daughter's baby shit as well. But your spot on as far as Italians moving out of our strong holds. It makes me sick when I go through north newark, cianci street in paterson, etc... And we have zero presence except for the cafes and the old timers who come in from out of town to watch the calcio and play scopa or scala.

Bobby I think that the all little italies is vanishing is a good thing at the end it was a ghettos good for the new people coming for the first time in America and dont speak well english or dont understand the US society. But when your first leanguage was the english and not the italian and want to integrate you must go out the little italy. At the end end is a good thing be Italian is an heritage that you had even if you live in LA in koreatown. Good point.mthe language was lost over here for many Italian Americans because our parents wanted us educated and to fit in. We were the white mans minority for many Years.
