So is there any formality ie the boss pays or an underlying pays for the boss within LCN?
I've grown up around a lot of Chinese & viet gangsters, the boss ALWAYS pays. It's a respect thing- the elder pays. If an underling pays it can be a sign of weakness. Unless it was a birthday where everyone chips in that's different

In my world , I do. For some I don't mind but sometimes it sucks. I do enjoy when someone who is above or wanting to impress me takes the bill, that's great.

As for Mobsters, I think it all depends on the group and the attitude of the attendees. Some Bosses are tight wads, some love to gift, share and get a good rep as taking care of the guys. I bet Castallano never paid for shit.

Remember in Sopranos, Chrisie was always complaining about having to cover the tab, Paulie loved it.

I think it all depends. A lot of bosses love to showboat, pay for expensive dinners and give $200 tips to the doorman. Vinny Gorgeous was said to have been like that. I think Scarfo was similar. If the Boss invites you it's usually on him..If you call on him (for whatever reason)You pay...If your out with the Regular street soldiers ,Usually the street guys make the new guy pay..no matter what..LOL

I wish I had a father in law like Tony. Mine? He's got more money than me yet sticks me with the tab each time. And it's him who invites us out. Not only that, I have to pay for his wife too

He'd pretend to be on his phone or go for a toilet break soon as the bill hits the table

T, you should pull the shit on him next time. When he hits the phone or leaves the table, do the same and hold out till he returns to the table and don't come back till he sends it in.

It's a pre-order place & after telling us his order he goes onto his phone. His wife starts nudging him calling his name & he yells at her to wait- that he's texting. But just sits there for ages

So I get up and pay for everyone... Later on he starts moaning the kids ate the chips and there's none left for him (the chips were ordered for the kids individually) not for him. He had his own food

& if he wanted more chips he could have went and bought some more himself but sat there moaning. That was the last time I went out with them a whole year ago lol

And this guy owns several properties/ has his own business so it's not like he's dead broke
