I assume you mean since the big bust in January 2011.
In April 2011, it was reported that part of an ongoing investigation into a drug trafficking operation involving the illegal sale of prescription medications such as oxycodone, percocet, etc. and loansharking, connected to Philadelphia LCN acting underboss Joseph "Mousie" Massimino, search warrants were executed at the homes of several Pagan Motorcycle Club members (such as Joseph "The Goat" Ferrari) and LCN associates (such as Nicky Volpe) and a bar where video poker machines were seized. Not sure what ever became of that case though.
In February 2012 you had that leaked law enforcement report that detailed Merlino’s activities and associates in Florida that was pretty interesting.
In December 2012 you had the DiPietro murder and subsequent indictment of Anthony Nicodemo.
In October 2013, Anthony Gifoli, Frank Tulino, Vincent Simoni (who had been involved in a 1988 LCN-connected gambling bust), and James Matteis, were indicted in Philadelphia on charges of conducting an illegal gambling businesses involving a sports bookmaking operation.
In December 2013 and May 2014 you had the cases related to Ronald Galati.
More recently you had the news about some members getting into the construction, real estate, etc business.
There were also these gambling cases, though I'm not sure of an LCN connection -
In April 2011, 8 people including Christopher Naso, Timothy Lepore, and Frank Formando were indicted in Bucks County, PA on charges of running a sports bookmaking operation that handled over $1 million a year.
In January 2014, Leonard Stango was indicted in Philadelphia on charges of structuring financial transactions and filing false tax returns involving $5 million in profits from a sports bookmaking operation.
In April 2014, Frank Medure Sr. and Frank Medure Jr. (DiCarlo Amusements, Medure ATM Service Providers) were indicted in Lawrence County, PA on charges of corruption organizations and dealing with proceeds of unlawful activity involving 74 video poker machines in 35 local bars and clubs.
In March 2015, Ralph "Sharkey" Sabatini, Valerio "Val" Ungarini, and Robert Molnar Jr. were indicted in Bucks County, PA on charges of corrupt organization, dealing in unlawful proceeds, criminal use of a facility, and engaging in bookmaking involving a sports bookmaking operation.
In May 2015, it was reported that Jacob Corropolse had pleaded guilty to filing false tax returns involving his sports bookmaking business which took in $500,000 in proceeds from bettors in 2010 and 2011.

So are the Traitz no longer involved with the Roofers Union? You tell me Marine you sound pretty confident so you must have some sort of pulse... Also what about the Statens? I know Staten Sr (past away last week also) was caught by the FBI meeting with mob guys (Billy D'Elia) and Imam, who also has connections into Merlino, in or around 2004 at the Saloon where they were trying to maneuver for city demo contracts and actually setup a company to do so. No contracts were awarded to my knowledge. You guys are right I'm not saying there's anything like the Scarfo days, just interesting connections and relationships...

I have a few friends who are pretty high up in the unions; there is no outright control. Look at it this way - Lot's of people, including construction workers (shocker) pop percocets, like to gamble and spend their checks by lunchtime on Friday. Can a drug dealer, bookie or loanshark get business from these guys? Rhetorical question.
Do these pill popping, gambling messes have any say in the unions? Another rhetorical question.
Scarfo had 2 unions he was embezzling - Bartenders and Roofers. He had understandings with other unions on who could do what, but I don't think Johnny Doc, Eddie Coryell (or his replacement in the region), or any other union labor leader is looking to the Philly Mob for what they can and can't do. The recent case with the other Dougherty and the iron workers should tell you that much.
Most people in south philly and the surrounding area have the general belief that the Philly Mob don't mess with you unless you wanna mess with them. I said it before, you can make an extra $40-$100 thousand a year Tax free being a book. It's quite a good way to supplement your regular job. Why would they jeopardize that money for the exposure they would get trying to infiltrate unions that are watched by the government like hawks? Yet, another rhetorical question...
Boss of tha toilet!

Ivy the two bucks county cases you refer to I dont believe are LCn connected..I know you qualified your info which is always spot on but I went to law school with one of the bucks county da's and I live around there..ran into him recently and asked about the Sabatini case he claimed they had no knowledge of a mafia connection..not sure about the other one but from what I read no blatant lcn connection

Dafuq? Burnstein wrote an article which didn't refer to Merlino as handsome, suave or enigmatic.
I invoke my right under the 5th amendment of the United States constitution and decline to answer the question.

Supposedly out of the 4 crews, only one maybe two are kicking up at all. The one guy I know for a fact isn't is Pung. Hes probably the smartest and the lowest key and the most forward thinking of all of them. Hes not gonna fight over the same dollar like the rest of them. And he spends a lot of time in Florida himself. Damn...they are down to 4 crews? Thought it was more than that...hmmm I guess not. I really could not see Joey Merlino just sitting tight if hardly any of his crews are kicking up, unless he is afraid of heat...which he never really seemed to care about that much before, but maybe prison and age has changed the way he operates... Ask Joseph Sodano how well refusing to kick up to Merlino worked out for him

I don't know about much about the philly rackets but if the real estate and construction expansion rumors are accurate then maybe they will start building up, which IMO should be their main focus . If they don't get into the quasi legit game then they will basically just be local bookies/ small time sharks with some swag, and local drug game . Basically not enough to build up or expand but enough for 20-40 guys to eat
I have to imagine the gambling scene is pretty big in philly and south jersey but I can also see the WS and gambinos breathing down their neck for the gambling game outside of south philly . Im sure those 2 have far bigger roles in the local construction and union trade then philly ever will today .
I'd be interested to know just how structured philly CN is today? My hunch is a couple big busts could clear them out for the WS and Gambinos to take most of their gambling and shy biz . An alliance w the gambinos to preserve what they got might be something to consider but today , I'm not even sure the gambinos would even take that risk . Better and safer for them to expand their legit stuff and build their gambling n shy biz off those connects and wait out for the next big pinch to move on further

Yea I hear you on that lots of tough guys out there I agree.. But some kicled out of casinos, one guy even kicked out of the one in Bethelem pa.. Think it was battagla guy I believe.. casions are out there aware of Everyone in those joints.. everyone is using online.. Even the News papers are losing $$ cause of online shit.. So even gambling is half shot.. All they got is stealin and drug dealin I think these days.. but like I said most rely on regular jobs.. also just realized one of the baldinos face book pictures he had hard hat on wit many stikers.. After seeing that chart, that one of you put up.. Charlie ianecce I believe is in the roofers30 on his fb account.. you guys check it.. by the way great philly chart, who ever made it.. And how the hell did he know all the names of those young guys like matt zambani, doug rubino.. great chart..I believe the doug rubino kid was on jeopardy wit Alex Trebek.. Wonder if the money he won he kicked a % up to uncle Joe LOL... Looking at the cases over the past 10-15 years, gambling is still the family's mainstay. Bookmaking and video poker machines specifically. It's gambling in the form of the numbers racket and card/casino games that seems more passe. Drugs and stolen goods are the more side, ad hoc rackets for them. I don't know about much about the philly rackets but if the real estate and construction expansion rumors are accurate then maybe they will start building up, which IMO should be their main focus . The Genovese even had a wire room in Philadelphia about a decade or so ago but they shared part of the profits with the Philadelphia family. And of course, members of the Gambino and Genovese families plotted at one time to kill Ligambi, Mazzone, and Borgesi so they could expand their video poker machine rackets into the area. I imagine there are some other examples here or there. That said, as long as there's a viable family in Philadelphia - and there still is - thar city and South Jersey will be their territory.
