The latest Outfit-related piece of news has Vena as the newly made boss answering only to Solly D. How likely is this to be true? With the Hollingshead couple cooperating, Bobby Pannozzo in jail, all the heat that was coming down on the Grand Ave crew (if you believe they're a crew), why would Solly D make Vena a street boss? Is it more likely this is a decoy seeing that Vena could be going away anytime soon anyway, that he's been convinced to take one for the team? Edit: Here's the article btw http://gangsterreport.com/gr-sources-chi...r-now-at-least/

@incamelot
why wouldnt grand avenue be a crew when it's the west and northside combined
I really have no idea. I'm just saying I've heard the debate over whether Grand Ave exists anymore. But I thought northside was Elmwood Park?

Thanks for the post Ic... I find it funny that they would consider Vena the most dangerous man in Chicago when the shot callers of the Vice Lords and or GDs kill more people than fuckin cancer.. But i get the euphemism that hell order a killing over little to nothing.... Outta curiousity bc i know The Outfits structured different, but who are the capos or crew bosses currently that Vena or whomever is relaying orders to?
I dont wanna get in a debate w ivy or anyone but i would think w the amount of LE attention being focused on those fuckin animals in the south and westside and rightfully so and Chicago bein one of if not the most corrupt cities in the country (coincidentally controlled by Liberal and the hometown of NObama) that the Outfit should be doin fairly well financially... I mean i know its not like the past where they literally ran the city and the Teamsters They still run the teamsters. The Coli's and Glimco's still run the teamster locals and joint council. Louie- no shit so glimcos what son or grandon still runs feamsters locals? Are they actually still taking orders and kicking up to the mob? Carmine- haha yea good point I didnt think that, I was kinda trying but failing to be funny..interesting the media in Chicago labeled a white mobster the most dangerous man in Chicago when the facts and current violence in that city suggest otherwise but I digress lol
"No, no, you aint alrite Spyder you got alotta fuckin problems"

@ mikeyballs
You know the thing with the Outfit? I've tried to explain before that the thing , that made the Outfit GO in Chicago, was the climate of corruption here. Nothing has really changed. If you have some money, and the right clout in Chicago you can basically do just about anything.
Thing with the Outfit, I don't think you will find much if you go looking for like, social clubs and crews on a corner. You gonna have to do something like what Todoped does. Instead of looking for street corner crews, I think you have to look for corrupt LLCs. Cause that's where the big crooked money is,in THE CITY AND STATE STRUCTURE.
Like the mob had all the video poker right? Now it's legalized, but I suspect they probably still secretly control a chunk of it, and this pulled in over 900 million last year. It wouldn't surprise me if whatever, Greater Gaming And Amusement LLC or some shit was really controlled by some mobster.
Or the liquor companies. Someone mentioned the Teamsters, now think of all the ancillary businesses that have to associate with them. Carpenters, painters, drivers, whatever. I bet if you took a looooong look at the ownership...........

Still waiting on that Christmas 2015 indictment that was "imminent". Scott's just not a very reliable reporter. Entertaining, yes. Reliable, no. Yeah exactly. And the next thing thats reported is Vena has been upped to street boss ? I wonder which Cicero guys Solly D has running the show though. Sammy Cards?
