Today people expect transparency and voters believe they have a right to know if their candidate has a serious illness. If the public knew about JFK's conditions in 1960 he wouldn't have been elected or would have dropped out, same thing for FDR in his 4th term.

The second it was obvious that Trump was getting no post-convention bump in the polls, suddenly it's "Hillary's too sick to be president".
