Don't be expecting too much information or feedback though. Be very specific in what you're wanting or requesting. Certain files, people are exempt from the FOIA, keep that in mind, such as law enforcement, government employees, people still living and such. Use specific names, dates, places, etc.

The request itself is fairly boilerplate and simple. The trouble and difficulty comes when/if you get a denial. I could only see that being a problem with LCN requests if it is for info in the last 20 years. I have a complete brief from that deals with a response to a DOJ denial. PM me and I'm happy to share.
