I wouldnt be surprised he did in fact say that to the cop but in a very sarcastic way. The cop probably pulled him over and like they sometimes do, ask if you were ever arrested. He probably said that with the utmost sarcasm. I highly doubt he was serious.
you make a valid point. Rather than blatantly spouting off "I'm in the mafia....". The possibility he was being totally sarcastic in his drunken state rings more true. But who the hell knows...not sure who truly cares for that matter
