I was just doing some surfing about the Sopranos. I came acrooss 7 pre-productions in which the guy who played (fat) Vito on the Sopranos is involved. That's pretty busy. In fact, he may be just about the busiest of the former Sopranos actors.

I am not sure about that. He owns a successful restaurant in Brooklyn. I ate there a few times. I think it became a tourist spot.

So he doesn't limp any more?

My friend was in the movie Dances with wolves. Oops my mistake he is in the sequel Dances with Were wolves. A horror movie

Carrie Fisher suffered a full cardiac arrest on Friday while aboard an airplane going from London to LAX, an emergency official confirmed to Variety. The actress is in critical condition, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Airport police responded at approximately 12:15 p.m. PT to a woman with a medical emergency on a plane a Terminal 7, but they couldn’t confirm the identify of the victim, public information officer Alicia Hernandez told Variety.

The female victim had gone into cardiac arrest and officers from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were already on the scene performing CPR, when airport police arrived. She was transported to local hospital for medical treatment.

Fisher reportedly went into cardiac arrest about 15 minutes before the plane landed, TMZ first reported.

Has anyone heard of The Bronx Bull release in January? It stars William Forsyth as Jake Lamotta. It's supposed to explore the sources of his rage. Chaz and Sorvino are in it.

It says it's supposed to be in theaters Jan. 6, 2017 according to IMDB.

A remake of "An American Werewolf In London" with Max Landis (son of John Landis who produced the original) along with The Walking Dead producers, Robert Kirkman and David Alpert is in the works.

I love the original. At the time the special effects were really cool. I know remakes, for the most part seldom match the original BUT I definitely will see this one.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse - 7/10

Probably the best out of all of the resident evil movies. Wasn't greatly keen on the character of Alice to be honest, but Nemesis made up for it.

Big fan of the resident evil games.

It's been over a year ago that I posted about TV actors non-eating on screen.

I watch the Big Bang Theory incessantly (although Sheldon is growing tiresome). Alot of its characters' conversations take place while they are eating either in their apartments or at the university's cafeteria. What I notice is that they almost never eat what's on their plates. It bugs me because I now notice it every time I watch. Instead, they poke at their food with their utensils.

Of course, when they film can be any time of the day or night before which they may have already eaten. Besides, it could be the 10th take by which time the food is cold, etc. It just bugs me.

By the way, during his scene with Kay at the wedding, Michael Corleone did a good job of moving his lasagna around his plate and cutting his food without ever eating much of it.

On screen food things that annoy me:

TV people almost always eat Chinese food out of the white paper boxes with the little metal handles that it comes in. In reality, most people put it in a dish.


Why is italian/french bread always just stuffed unwrapped in paper grocery bags when it's a TV prop. Why don't they ever show it in the long skinny bread bags the way it comes from the store? Those then go into grocery bag, we don't just throw unwrapped bread into the bag with the other groceries. Do they think if it's covered by the bakery bag we won't be able to tell it's bread?

Yes Hel, those bug me too. I always eat Chinese on a plate (especially the fingers and toes), but TV characters (and members of the Corleone family) either have an aversion to plates or a love affair with white containers (didn't Leonard buy something like 5,000 of them to fool Sheldon?). And yes, the bread is always unwrapped, isn't it?

The containers from the closed chinese restaurant...that was hilarious.

I loved the shrimp with mobster sauce episode too, when they ended up at Corleones pizza.

Not many finish a quart of Chinese food at home. They put it in a plate and put the carton in the fridge to be eaten at another meal. I get soup besides when I order I guess they don't.

I don't eat bread anymore. No soda either, no salt. But Sicilian pie and pasta can't stop from having that and Italian cheese cake.

Oh Italian food in Jersey is a shade better then in Germany

Does anyone remember this film It's from the 90s, I believe and starred Bob Hoskins?

He plays this enigmatic figure he moves into a small town and makes friends with a boy. Noone knows much about him and he doesn't reveal much. I think it turned out that he was hiding from the mob and it found him at the end of the movie.

I just saw Fences and, honestly I was underwhelmed. Liked the characters and really liked their dialogue, but seemed like not enough happened onscreen. I don't mind movies that are remade from plays so long as they don't still feel like plays; otherwise they feel very constrained, as this one does.

Not sure the above made sense, so I'll say this. Off the top of my head, an example of a movie that was remade from a play yet did not feel constrained is A Few Good Men.

Former WB executive confirmed that Ben Affleck's The Batman will be released at some point in 2018.

Going back to New Jersey today to celebrate my oldest son's birthday with people I do not like. Will leave tonight right after it is over.

Over the decades I've watched any number of movies and documentaries about the Civil War. Love it. The recent Blood and Fury is not as good as other offerings, but it is still pretty good.

What stands out in all of them is the human slaughter. I shot at my adversaries and they at me from 200 or more yards; most times I couldn't see them and they couldn't see me. Thus, I have my doubts that I would have the courage to stand almost face to face with the enemy and fire at him and let him fire at me as they did in the Civil War.

Those Board members with military especially, chime in.

Haven't seen the series but liked the movie.
I didn't think I'd like the Lethal Weapon series but I kind of enjoy it.

Also, I am a fan of the "Taken" movies with Liam Neeson and I hear there will be a prequel tv show showing Bryan Mills in the earlier days.

Taken origins tv show sounds like a good idea.

I tried to give the Lethal Weapon tv a go, gonna watch a full episode to see how it is. I remember watching the first film and honestly believing that Mel Gibson was a lunatic, and not acting.
