I watched Batman Vs. Superman last night. Mi dispiace, but I still don't understand why the two of them became enemies.
Also, given the graveside scene, has anyone heard about a "he has risen" sequel? I just saw that this weekend. It was ok; lots of plusses and lots of minuses that even each other out. There certainly is going to be a sequel.

Picked up Gran Torino for 50p from the local dvd shop. Was a decent watch, with a few funny scenes. - 7/10 "Way to go old man." "Shut up pussy. What's with all this bro shit anyway ? [video:youtube] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVjMzrCMW9Q[/video]

The Vanishing starring Jeff Bridges and Kiefer Sutherland. The villain (Bridges) kidnaps Sutherland's wife at a rest stop. Several years later, the villain reappears and offers to tell Sutherland what happened to his wife - but first, he has to allow himself to be drugged and go through what his wife experienced. It's a remake of a French movie and isn't as highly rated, but if you take it on its own merits it's an easy watch. 7/10 The Vanishing

It always takes me ages to get around to watching movies, but picked up The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremacy the other day.
Just finished watching them, decent movies. 7/10.
FWIW I love the Bourne movies. For some reason if I see them on tv I never mind tuning in and watching even just parts of it again. I seldom go to the movies but when "Jason Bourne" came out last year I knew I had to go. Was not a bad movie, but my least favorite of the series. TIS

Me too TIS. The Bourne movies are very entertaining. Ever watch The Golden Girls ? I figured since it is Betty White's 95th birthday I'd mention one of her shows. My Grandma and all my older aunts LOVED that show. Rose: "Can I ask a dumb question?" Dorothy: "Better than anyone I know." I always liked Sophia. “Picture it… Sicily.” We never forgot anything in Sicily because people would tie string around each other's fingers. No... wait, it wasn't string, it was piano wire. And wait... it wasn't your finger, it was your neck. In fact, piano wire was the second-biggest export in our village.

Foots, that movie is great. It was just on the TCM app. Hey, I saw your buddy, "Carmine the Bricklayer", in Once Upon a Time in Queens. I never saw that movie, finally got to watch it. Tell him he had me laughing when he was telling the treadmill gym story. Whoever wrote that script really nailed the tough father and daughter relationship scenes. I thought it would be a shoot 'em up gangster type film, not what I expected at all. And gravy beats sauce again.

And gravy beats sauce again. NO!! It's NOT gravy. Its sauce, or in my family it's sugu. You know I've seen on line you can purchase t-shirts that say "It's Gravy". LOL I think it's an East Coast thing. Talking to a few my old time relatives in MI a while back, nobody heard of calling it gravy. YET, when I was in NYC I learned it's always referred to as gravy. When I first was in NY and heard that, I thought WTF would you put gravy on your pasta? TIS

In the movie they had the gravy sauce debate and gravy won!! Here goes nuttin. This is how I look at the whole gravy sauce dilemma. I'll explain. You put SAUCE on a pizza pie and add cheese, olive oil more herbs & spices, toppings. You put GRAVY on macaroni. Gravy means a thickened sauce. If you have a pot on the stovetop with olive oil, garlic, onions, crushed tomatoes, herbs and spices then that's a SAUCE. ONCE YOU ADD MEAT, then it becomes GRAVY. You have to have your veal, pork and beef in there and it's all over the place you can barely stir the damn GRAVY. And this is how my family and many NY NJ families make it. It's thick. A thickened sauce called GRAVY. You go to lift the pot from the stovetop to the countertop and it feels like it weighs 20 pounds. And it probably does lol. And "pasta" we never used that term. It was always called macaroni. If you're making baked ziti then you call it ziti. Most of the time if you're making gravy then that's what they made: macaroni, gavadeel, baked ziti, or lasagne. Ok, who out there agrees with me?

Ha ha ha Gravy, sauce, sugu, still tastes great under any name. TIS
