Agreed on Amuso. Those guys are different from the scheming mindset of Gravano/Casso/D'Arco. Sure Gotti and Amuso are schemers but they draw the line in the sand when it comes to their image when it concerns rats.

Was hesitant to post this pic but it's interesting so screw it... Maria Testa and Maria Merlino early 80s when Maria Merlino and Salvie Testa were engaged and then the Maria's presents day. Interesting because they had a falling out when Salvie broke off his engagement to Maria Merlino as well as Chuckie having Salvie killed mostly due in part to Salvie jilting his daughter Maria Merlino. The two Maria's have since reconciled as you can see...

Ya, he's walking on Passyunk ave bc you can see the sign for "Stogie Joe's" in the background. It's one of the few bars on Passyunk, where the older South Philly native's go, nowadays. Almost every other place caters to the hipster crowd.

That's correct- that is Stogie Joe's in the background, which according to Scott Bernstein, is where Joe Chickie Ciancaglini hangs out at on a daily basis. It's also, coincidently, the same building that housed the plumbing supply store where the Scarfo mob had one of their clubhouses at Camac & Moore. I wonder if there's some sort of connection to the building that causes them to always hang there such as the owner of the building being an associate or something like that?

You're right and it's pretty well-known who owns it...except, I personally can't remember who that person is or what's the connection, exactly. Plus, it's common bc a lot of the guys or their families own property and businesses like that in South Philly, especially south of Snyder.

Actually,the clubhouse was behind & across a small street(camac) from stogie joes..the building directly across moore st. was a diner where chuckie merlino always gave direction..he also kept his eye on the crow & charlie white who ran that corner..then, across the street(Passyunk) from all that is Marras restaurant where they did all their lunches & more flim-flam planing as well as placate their immediate supervisor pat spirito up until the day they killed him. Charlie White was the triggerman in that scenario..& did his time rightfully?..a true gangster imo..I wonder what goes through charlies head when he's in that immediate neighborhood..lookin @ his old corner after a few beers,taking it all in etc.....

Wow!...You can actually see the strong resemblance to Bobby Manna when you look at his dad.

Anyone know any info about his father? What family was he a part of? When did he die? What was his rank?

Only info I found is that he was born in 1898
And he had 5 kids. 3 daughters, 2 sons
Bobby was the youngest and had an older brother Dominick that was 3 years older.

I believe that's the first picture I've seen of George Conte. That pick of Pat the Cat is brutal, they try and make mob hits romantic, but they are brutal as any other murder. I remember seeing the Bruno Facciolla murder pics and it was a butchering, you could still see the fear on his face, it's an iconic photo.
