There's a chain place around here mostly geared towards youth, Nifty Fifties..thats makes THE BEST SHAKES...about 120 different combo's,,egg creams too...Bananas Foster shake anyone??

I had a meat lover's pizza from a place by me called Brooklyn Pizzeria. It's not authentic New York pizza but not half bad living out of state now. Pretty decently priced as well compared to some of these other pizza places around me who have no business charging what they charge for pizza.

I know there are, like me, a couple of Board members who have Pittsburgh roots. For them, the Italian Groceria in Bloomfield is closing. When we travel to Pittsburgh (which is at least annually), we always stopped there and loaded up on Capicola, Salami, Prosciutto, Torrone, and the Pittsburgh exclusive: chipped ham. Madonne! Cosi buono. Well, now when I return in August, I'll have to find another store. Fortunately, there's several around like Labriola's in Penn Hills.

Made some simple meat sauce with sautéed zucchini from the garden, man it was good over Rigatoni.

'Nduja sausage is quite nice.

British Stlilton cheese,,Iberico ham from spain ,poached & chilled Fava beans,,soppresatta , cappicola..& multi grain toast from the russian mart topped w; avacado smear (it is not guacamole}!!!! & diced heirloom tomatoes...& ..I almost forgot....Greyere cheese from france ..and some grapes &sliced granny apples>>That is what I made 4 my wife's appetizer (charcuturie}....she made me eat some b-cause she's afraid of weight...but it was GOOD..

What a dinner out 2 nite...went 2 Collingswood N.J. where a buddy chef owns SAPORI Italian Trattatoria 4 the last 20 some yrs...was treated like royalty..1rst course , Beef tenderloin carpaccio , w/ shaved Parmesan Reggiano & baby rucula salad & fig lemon vinegarette ....Grilled Sardines over white truffle foamed butter.w/ crostini.///...2 nd course..the Wife had home fettucini w/ Imported real fresh porcini mushrooms (hard 2 get) from Italy w/ homemade fennel sausage in a creamy white wine & veal stock reduction/////I had THE BEST MEAL in a LONG TIME...Pork cheeks so f...ing tender ...the meat was like BUTTER..in a fresh english pea , purple carrot , & pearl cous-cous ragout...OMG.THE Most tender meat I ever had....& coming from me..that's alot...2 round it off , was the freshest Cannolli's on the house w/ a shot of pink grapefruit limencello...free parking as well..very Sicilian , very GOOD !!!

I had some sea scallops at a local restaurant yesterday, served seared with spinach, capers white wine sauce over Angle hair pasta, it was very good.

My first time cooking or trying grits and I thoroughly enjoyed them. Had to make bacon and eggs to complete Vinny's breakfast.

Awesome...I LOVE seared scallops..if they're seared just right (medium) they taste like candy.

Made some sausage & peppers.

Fresh grown peppers from garden.

Thanks guys,,,I should have took a pic of the bread too, will have to do this again this week or next since the peppers are coming in strong ,even the red peppers which usually take longer.
