GOP mob connections through the Teamsters dates back to the 1960s. I just got done reading Hoffa Wars. Very detailed, really written by and for Midwest Teamsters. Could get tedious, but a wealth of info about the roots of the Teamsters, the mob and Republicans. There's another book about Nixon and the mob coming out this fall.
