There may very well be an organized-crime angle to this incident from yesterday. Two men in their fifties were struck by bullets: the one with critical injuries is expected to survive; the other has injuries that are not life threatening. Other articles indicate a silencer was used. Two suspects who were wearing masks are sought. The vehicle they used has been found; it had been torched. "Man expected to survive in Sherway Gardens shooting, 2 suspects sought" http://www.citynews.ca/2017/08/16/man-expected-survive-sherway-gardens-shooting-2-suspects-sought/ Masks, silencer and getting rid of evidence by burning the car; looks like a professional hit.

The victim that suffered minor injuries was Paris christoforou who also involved in the California sandwiches shooting. Also the one that assaulted Peter scarcella in prison Are you sure it was Christoforou? I don't think that info was released by the police or media. Also, are you sure Christoforou assaulted Scarcella in prison? Where did you get that info from?

I read that in the book unrepentant by Peter Edwards. HA bikers were picked up on a wire discussing it Below is a link to the page in the book: https://books.google.ca/books?id=T0-PDQAAQBAJ&pg=PA263&lpg=PA263&dq=%22Paris+did+punch+out+Scarcella%22&source=bl&ots=EoKUBpeCc-&sig=iCShwVTwTAxoVvTTFeyaCcRMFNA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiYz_veu-fVAhVK_4MKHX0FDw0Q6AEIHTAA If the link doesn't work, I'll try to find one that does and then edit the post.

I mentioned once before in passing that if you want to do research about Italian-Canadian crime groups and figures beyond that which you'll get by reading articles, you should read older and current books about outlaw motorcycle gangs and individual members of such gangs.
Back in May I read Peter Edwards's recently published Hard road: Bernie Guindon and the reign of the Satan's Choice Motorcycle Club. The book reveals that in 2010, Guindon's son, Harley Davidson Guindon, met and worked out with Juan Ramon Fernandez (Joe Bravo) and Daniel (Danny) Ranieri when all three were at Millhaven Institution in Bath, Ontario. When Harley found out about Bravo's murder--Harley was likely in another penitentiary at the time of the murder--he was upset because he apparently "had a lot of plans with Ray."
The book also reveals that Harley met Gregory Woolley at a certain point after meeting Joe Bravo and Ranieri but does not state where Harley and Woolley met, only that the latter two knew each other over a four-year period, as Harley claims they played chess every day, all day, for four years. (Woolley was an avid chess player.)
