Hey New Yorkers (or anyone).
I love Native New Yorker by Odyssey from 1977. Just heard it again.
In it though there's a lyric "dropped you off at E 33rd." What is the significance of that street if any? I heard that song a few weeks ago. I think the woman sings something else.It does sound like what you quoted, but I just saw online that she could be singing "dropped you off, he stated firm......." Since we're asking.....the Rick James song "Superfreak"....for years I've been arguing that he says "When I get there she's got intertwining candles..it's such a freaky scene" people swear that he sings "when I get there she's got incense, wine and candles"...."

I looked up Native New Yorker again and it says that it's East 83rd. I think that's it. I'd still like to know if there's anything significant about that street. "firm" doesn't make sense.
