Link: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/continuum-creator-simon-barry-developing-844958'Continuum' Creator Simon Barry Developing Mob Boss Miniseriesby Etan Vlessing 12/1/2015 3:43pm PST The six-parter from the showrunner of the Syfy series will portray the final years of real-life mafia kingpin Vito Rizzuto. Simon Barry, the creator of Syfy's Continuum drama, is developing and show running a mini-series based on a book about true-life Sicilian mob boss Vito Rizzuto. Barry and Michael Konyves will turn the non-fiction book Business or Blood: Mafia Boss Vito Rizzuto's Last War into Bad Blood, a six-part original miniseries for Canada's City network. Rizzuto, imprisoned in 2006 for his role in a decades-old Brooklyn triple murder, controlled a piece of the U.S. drug market from his base in Montreal before his death in December 2013. Indie producer New Metric Media optioned the rights to the book by writers Peter Edwards and Antonio Nicaso and signed a development deal with City-parent Rogers Media in partnership with indie producer and distributor DHX Media. No word on casting for Bad Blood. Executive producer credits will be shared by Mark Montefiore, Patrick O’Sullivan, Barry and Konyves.

is it gonna be availible on FX in the states? Sorry I'm seeing this only now--I'm afraid I didn't have this thread in my Watched Topics list; therefore, I didn't receive notifications of any replies. A few production studios and distribution companies are involved in this series: New Metric Media, Sphere Media Plus, DHX Media, and Sky Vision. But perhaps your best bet is to go to www.fxnetworks.com to see whether you can make an inquiry; you could perhaps also contact your local cable provider.

Is this Declan character fictional or for real? Never heard of him before. I never heard of him either. I think they are making it up as it goes. So far nothing makes sense. According to the Montreal Gazette, Coates plays the fictitious character Declan Gardiner, an amalgam of several people in the book who acted as Rizzuto’s right-hand men.

It's fictional, but his last name is Gardiner which is an english translation of Desjardins. Yeah he's based on Desjardins. Bruno Bonsignori is based on Joe Di Maulo and the real estate developer 'Hank' is based on Tony Magi. It seems like Declan and Vito will have a fallout later on. I think the Bruno character will secretely betray Vito as well. They've changed the events but the outcomes are similar. Also, I can imagine the insult to the family by focussing on not one but two mistresses instead of the wife, lol.

It's not historically accurate, but I've found this to be very entertaining so far. Recommended show.

I do not know if anyone else feels like I do but watching the first episode of Bad Blood felt like a complete let down. Other than the four main actors, I find the rest of the cast to be amateurish. The introduction of characters & script writing was terrible. I hope it gets better but for now I am not impressed.
Ciment.. Glad we can agree on something.. I thought the show was trash and never made it past the second episode.
