I believe his father and mother died the same way.

I heard on the news that both his mother and his uncle had it. But I swear that at one time I heard is father, Jack Cassidy also had it. Sounds like the early-onset dementia, which I understand IS usually hereditary. So sad. RIP David! frown

Sadly, Jack Cassidy suffered from bi-polar, and his drinking didn't help matters. Jack died from dropping a lit cigarette on the couch after passing out (that night he wanted drinks with his ex-wife Shirly Jones, but she declined. then asked Donna Theodore out on a date. but, soon after Donna asked to be taken back home after awhile because Jack was acting weird).

You'll have to make a couple of additions:

TIS should be credited with Fats Domino.

Mikey Sunset should be credited with Don Rickles.

Same setup as last year, or are we going to go with some age weighting plan?

I'd prefer some age weighting included so that this doesn't become a simple list of the oldest persons alive. That's just me, though. Anyone else wanna add their 2¢? Maybe give extra credit to any unique pick also?

Off the top of my head..How about, set an age (say 65 or 70) and anyone over that age is a normal "win." Whereas, if it's under 40 it counts as a double win? 30 or younger a triple win.
So basically there's 3 categories.

This is just a quick thought. Something to chew on. Feel free to modify, delete, add or ignore. lol

I pretty much agree with TIS. Set an age above which one gets a win; below that age they get double. That way you keep it simple with only two categories.

I like the weighting, even though I think one of mine this year was the oldest person. I like under 50 is 2 points, 50 to under 100 is 1 and over 100 is 1/2.

I like the idea of age weight as well, but maybe make those under 65 two points. Those over 65, can have the normal one point. And, if we want a three point system...maybe the cutting point at 45 or 50. But, I also believe that those certain people who have been on our lists for years (like those who make to 100 or those who have been on their death bed multiple times) should be a few points on when they pass away, as something special. Just an idea though

Bob Givens I remember him when I was a kid i found myself in New York hospital as a kid. There were a bunch of kids with me. One kid had a famous or at least a well known father. He was a cartoonist. He drew looney tunes drawings.

He went into the kids ward and started to draw pictures of bugs bunny, Daffy Duck and Yosemite Sam for all the kids. At that time I could not get over just how fast he could draw a picture. He drew me a picture of bugs bunny.

I still remember that.

Please be sure to audit your 2017 lists (check for missing deaths) and post here if the master list is missing any.

It takes just a few minutes to google all the names on your list if you're unsure -- highlight the name, right-click, choose "Search Google"...

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol
