SPOILERS FROM SEASON 8 MID SEASON FINALEPaul, He DID get bitten when he was in the woods and found the guy Rick had shot at (a warning shot) Walkers attacked him then.I believe it was last week's episode. As far as surviving, I really wish he could, but since the bite is on the stomach and not on a limb that can be amputated, I don't see how. If he did surive, IMO it'd be something like Glen under the trash dumpster (jumping the shark a bit). Then too, poor Carl is already missing an eye, can't have him miss a limb too. When episode started with Carl writing note to his dad, I thought he was contemplating suicide and thought "no that's doesn't sound like Carl. When he confronted Negan telling him to shoot him, Carl knew he had nothing to lose and wanted to end the turmoil. We, the audience, didn't know until the very last scene as Rick entered the sewer. That long walk toward his son, with everyone kind of looking away, we just KNEW something happened. I love these episodes, even if sad, it's those kinds of surprises/plots that really get you. Here's video of of when Carl got bitten. https://youtu.be/PfZcH0GmT1w TIS

No, I don't think Carl will be back. According to Scott Gimple, he is dead. He will appear in next episode, in which I assume he'll die. According to this attached article, Chandler Riggs had no idea he was being written off til June when he was told about it. (Btw, his father was not happy about it). I don't read the comics BUT I hear that TWD comic fans were really shocked and didn't see this coming at all. Apparently, Carl lives on in the comics. I am sad to see him go because I liked him and he has been a part of the cast from day one. We've watched him grow. Enid will be shocked. I'd rather have seen her go to tell the truth. I know TWD episodes are NOT all perfect and/or action packed, BUT I love the story of the survival AND surprises like this that nobody sees coming. Still, my favorite show!!!! TIS, Thanks for posting the vid about Carl getting bit. I couldn't remember when it happened. But watching it you can see the walker's head right by his side where he got bit. They did a good job of hiding it. Carl didn't scream or let on he was bit. You can tell by his reaction that something wasn't right though.
Who do you think will take him out? I think it will be Michonne. Good question. I just think Rick will be to broken to do it. I guess Michonne would be likely. I have to watch it again, especially to re-watch that last scene as Rick walks threw the sewer, everyone was quiet, somber and my daughter says nobody looked at Rick. I'll have to see it again. TIS

There are alot of debates going on The Walking Dead FB group pages whether or not they will pull another "Glen" on us when they come back on in February. And some of them are pretty heated. I'm thinking really? It's a tv show. If you want to debate fine but don't let it ge to that point. They had one of the writers/producers on Talking Dead. He said Carl was definitely bitten and will eventually die, likely in the opening of mid-season premier. I know he wasn't popular with some people, BUT I liked the character. Not too many young kids/teenagers/young adults in series. Btw, it's like The Walking Dead here on the BB. I miss the good ol days. TIS

Alot of people will be upset when Carl dies. I will be one of them. I didn't realize what an impact he had on the show until I realize he's actually getting killed off. I know my 15 yr old granddaughter is disappointed. She says she doesn't wanna watch anymore because there's just "old people." LOL I've refrained from re-watching the mid season finale again because of the ending. I'll watch again Sunday before the new episode airs. Btw, I read a story earlier about an episode (I believe it's the episode where Carl gets bitten, but not sure), in which TWD goofs up and Carl is seen shooting a gun, aiming, looking from his "patched" eye. I didn't even catch it at the time. I'll see if I can find the article/picture and show you Anyway, looking forward (tho sadly) to FINALLY Sunday's episode. SPOILERS FROM MID SEASON 8 PREMIERVery sad episode. I'm wondering if Carl's words to his dad about (more or less) how you can't kill everybody and for the most part learn to live with what they've already accomplished, will make Rick NOT want to kill Negan. I'm not a violent person, BUT I'd love to see Rick be the one to kick Negan's ass. That guy is horrible. In the end I think TWD lost a very important character. Carl was there from the beginning, we've seen him go for kid to man and I always imagined HE'D be the one to follow in his dad's footsteps. Now maybe Judith will. I suspected that Carl would be the one to end his life and I'm glad they didn't show the aftermath of the gunshot. . I think Chandler Riggs earned that the entire episode was, for the most part, all about his death. RIP Carl. Btw, did you see Riggs on Talking Dead? He looks SO different without all the hair. TIS

sad episode. even sadder is it is the 4th year of my mom's passing today. why they got rid of carl is beyond me. his father in real life said they fired him. Sad and Sorry about your Loss. I heard the same, about the father mentioned he was fired. SPOILERS FROM MID SEASON 8 PREMIERVery sad episode.
