Hey guys,
Finally registered after viewing this forum for years. I was thinking about Mikey scars and reading his testimony and background. He seemed like a really intelligent guy and was promoted to captain at a fairly young age. Seemed like a newer generation or monster than the traditional mustache Petes. I was wondering if you guys thought that had he not flipped if you thought he could have been tapped as the next boss of the Gambinos. Seemed like the guy was pretty sophisticated for a gangster. Perfect for the 21st century. Had he not flipped.

When he gave testimony against Gotti Jr, he came across as an extremely bright and honest witness. May have been the best Mafia witness ever the government produced. If he was so wonderful why did all the trials end in mistrials? Even his testimony in the colombo cases was of limited value because they also ended in mistrials.
Should probably ask Mr. Kierney. I guess if you're Italian, you should be in prison.
I've read the RICO Act, and I can tell you it's more appropriate...
for some of those guys over in Washington than it is for me or any of my fellas here

Definitely a good read. You can tell how articulate he is just from reading this. Smarter than the average knuckle head mobster.

last time he was on the stand at the Genovese capo tico trial he beat the murder the feds put him on the stand to tell the jury what a powerfull capo tico was in Brooklyn. I remember the lawyers caught him in some lies or misquotes. they never used him after that. he ex wife who is niece to gotti underboss that got blown up, she kills him in interviews with the paper. saying his whole plan if he ever got in trouble was to turn rat and he was obseesed with that old movie I forgot the name English weird movie they have dicknoses and shit. the guy murders some lady and goes to jail and gets out early faking he reformed weird movie but good 1970's. jr gotti also was recorded saying his uncle pete should have never striped him or blamed him for stealing, jr almost said he was rite to turn. he comes from Sammy the bull crewwho a lot of them guys flipped like 4. I think the movie you're talking about is "A Clockwork Orange "

But by the 1990's they were all extremely old. If you think that some of those old timers were made in the 1920's or 1930's, they would be in their 80's or 90's by the 1990's. Maybe even some of them came over on the boats. I'd consider them potential mustache Pete's.

Scars and I are both on the same page regarding Gotti. I always said he was intelligent but did some dumb things. Scars said excatly that as well as jr being smart.. i agree as well.
Interesting insight regarding the ravenite meetings. Contrary to what law enforcement says, Gotti wanted to know who everyone was and he wanted to be able “ to read them”... as much as i have been around this shit, i never knew there was a numbers cap as to how many members a family could have.
