You'd have to make a short list of bad songs on the show. David Chase's first love was music, he was in a Jersey rock band before he got into television, hence the inspiration for his movie Not Fade Away. He cast Little Steven of the E Street Band as a mobster. Who would think of that? lol.
One song on the soundtrack that I never get tired of:
"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea

I'm sure he had a lot of input. I seemed to have read somewhere that Chase's daughter, Michele DeCesare, who played Meadow's friend Hunter, actually put together the "Every Breath You Take/Peter Gunn" mash up. I believe she was a music student at that time.

You're being kind. She was kicked out for partying and drunk driving.

Ill go also with Otis Redding My Lovers Prayer. It goes so well with the scene.
Van Morrison- Glad Tidings Chi-Lites Oh Girl "My Rifle, Pony and Me" Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson
So many great songs in the series and this reason the show is so good.

To this day every time I hear that song I think of poor Bobby Senior crashing into that pole.
I remember when the show was airing, someone on the usenet forums pointed out that earlier in that episode, Meadow is listening to headphones and singing a song called "Leave Me Breathless" and they thought it was intentional foreshadowing of how Baccala senior would die. lol. Probably coincidence, but you never know with these writers. They are clever.

Great song, Hollander. Like the Motown sound. Good concept by Little Steven. Song plays when Tony and Junior decide to kill Jimmy Altieri.
