What about Vincent Gigante attempting to rub out Frank Costello. Many things could have went wrong; Gigante trying to murder his Boss is considered treason. After Costello survived the attack; What if he placed a hit on Gigante? Pretty sure, Costello had a few loyalist, who would have taken up on the offer. This should be considered a brazen act despite having the backing of Vito Genovese.
