The release of the FISA memo will be the start of the democrat's downfall. This is much bigger than watergate.

Congress passed that law. I don't think many have read it or know what is about. There are a few problems with the laws in it, but the main one I have in it, is section 702. Our intelligence agencies does not need to get warrent to intercept or overhear foreign communications, thus a U.S. citizen would be swept up in it without knowing that their rights have been violated and it is perfectly legal thanks to the patriot act.

Funny that these abuses did not come up for discussion or debate during the recent reauthorization of FISA 702. Does this imply Congress just reauthorized an act that is known to be actively abused? Nunes voted yes, btw. I'm looking for a logical, non-political argument, for that glaring inconsistency. I've yet to see one anywhere.

Ghost voting. It is a lot more common with politicians. If a vote comes up and they are not there or away from their vote button, another member of the party who is sitting next to them will vote in their place.

Im aware of ghost voting. But Nunes actually cast his on the reauthorization, so that doesnt apply here. If they had concerns about FISA abuses they had ample opportunity to address them before the vote three weeks ago.

Full disclosure - ive long opposed the Patriot act but I support the memos release now that its become such an issue. I also want the response memo released, and the initial FISA application, as this was renewing, not initially requesting. Page has been said to have been investigated going back to at least 2013.

They don't even say that the Steele Dossier was the sole basis for the application (or subsequent 3 renewals which each must be based on new and different probable cause). This doesn't at all say what many thought it would. It also states that there are parts of the Steele dossier that are corroborated.

I agree with Trump, this is a disgrace.

The FISA judge was not given all the information regarding this dossier that was funded by the Hillary campaign.

Furthermore top level FBI and DOJ staff engaged in partisan politics and tactics that you would find in banana republic countries.

If you take this memo and couple it with text messages, that are currently being released in piece meal, between FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page, it comes apparent that they were out to get president Trump.

This will certainly trigger other investigations and jail time for those involved. Shame on them.

The memo clearly states it was PapaD that kicked off the investigation, not the dossier. But the memo does blow up the theory that the dossier is all fake. And four different judges approved the FISA warrants, on four separate occasions, so there's that as well.

Also, given that Gowdy, not Nunes, is the one Republican who actually read the intel upon which the memo is based, this is significant:
