Thinking a hung jury on some count maybe not guilty on 1 i dont know .

its the biggest federal court house in america where they prosecuted the guys behind 9/11 and every other terrorist trial. theres more cameras in that building then cbs big brother house. the judge had one of the court officers rewind the tapes and they all watched it. couldnt have been that bad or they would have revoked his bail or put him in the holding cell for the day. how did it get leaked to all the papers.

Rubeo was also in Philadelphia and hung out with the guys. The Philly FBI office wasn't made aware of this and he didn't even wear a wire. The SDNY really fucked up the whole investigation. Also Merlino brought Lance to NYC for the party at Parrello's restaurant.

This is not how court works, though. They pull the jury if the judge wants to ask the defendant something like this. They don't pull the audience out. Merlino would have answered the judge in front of every reporter covering this trial--and since every indication suggests they either don't show or sleep through it, this happened first thing in the morning.

Point being, if there was a reporter there, he watched the full exchange and heard the court reporter read out the transcript. Meanwhile, the jury sat in a back room for two hours and wondered what had happened...and juror #9 surely said...nothing...right?

i thought this would be a side bar conference between the judge lawyers and merlino. side bar i watched alot of law n order. buti practice the bird law. but read mayo mans twitter he says the trial is wrapping up mid week one more witness. so merlino might be free as a bird come friday or toast.

From what I understand part of the gambling indictment stems from Merlino giving A whale from Ohio to a bookie in flordia . the bookies name escapes me at this moment but he plead out already. From What I gather merlno was getting ten percent of this guys losses . The guy was losing big and then when he won the bookie didn't pay him. He threatened to come to Floridia and collect the guys in floridia discussed having to defend themselves if the guy showed up . Merlino is contending he was not a bookmaker , As he never actually took any bets.
