Hey Goombah, how are you? You know I've never heard Rainy Day Woman by Tom Petty. It's great. He has a "Dylan-ish type voice. Perfect song for him. Back in the stone age, I HAD Dylan's Rainy Day Woman on a 45. Btw, The Traveling Wilburys consisted Of: Petty, Orbison, Harrison and who was the 4th?? I really am sorry to hear about Petty's death. Another great musician gone. With all the great Rockers that have passed, they must be having one hell of a concert in heaven. TIS

Five Willburys on the first album: Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan were the other two.
I'm sorry about Petty too. I love his music.

I loved Full Moon Fever, Wildflowers, and the 1st Traveling Wilburys record. Petty regularly performed versions of the Wilbury's "Tweeter & the Monkey Man" and "Handle with Care." On the latter, his voice meshed perfectly with Dylan's gravely nasal tone. It's hard to believe that Petty's tour just ended last week in Hollywood and now he's gone. Dylan is in my area next month and I'm thinking I shouldn't miss the opportunity to see him.

Interesting story that doesn't seem to be getting the coverage it should: 600+ Russian mercs, plus artillery/tanks attempted to storm US-supported base in Syria, believing they could take it. Rumored 100+ Russian forces dead, hundreds of wounded flown back to Russia. Putin has a cold, and can't speak to the media. POTUS has not tweeted about it, or issued a statement. No movement on sanctions. https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/...s-syria-strike?__twitter_impression=truehttps://nypost.com/2018/02/13/russians-attacked-american-troops-on-putins-orders/

Machine guns, which fire multiple shots with one pull of the trigger, have been technically illegal since the mid-1980s. Yet while some of the guns that Stephen Paddock used to shoot more than 500 people in Las Vegas had been modified to fire as automatic weapons, they were perfectly legal, according to rules established by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
The modifications he appears to have made to his semi-automatic AR-15s, which by one estimate allowed him to fire as many as nine rounds per second, can be bought in many different forms on the internet. And fully automatic machine guns are still being sold from ads in the back pages of gun magazines.
Also high capacity mqgazines holding over 15 rounds.

No kidding. What else does he do? He made good on another promise. Because.... Kids getting shot in school And taking him to the woodshed on Twitter, which is why he finally moved forward with the ban... the very next day, instead of kicking it down the road like he had been since Vegas.
