Has anyone seen the USA tv show "Shooter" with Ryan Phillipe? It's based on the movie with Mark Wahlberg by the same name. Anyway, I liked the move AND the tv show so far.

Does anyone here on the BB watch Law & Order True Crime - The Menendez Brothers? I've been watching and unfortunately dozed off I think, at the very end. How did it end? Last I remember their attorney was taken off the case. Was there a mistrial or what?

I do have On Demand but I can't fast forward to the ending. I saw 90% of it.

Both ended in mistrials. The 2nd trials resulted in convictions and life in prison.

Thanks Oli. I'm finding the story very interesting. Sad, shocking, sick but interesting. I'm a sucker for ALL the Law & Orders. I do hope they make a regular series out of this with real life crimes.

Listen to DeNiro fake street accent in Mean streets.That is why I call him the fake Italian. Remember wh en Steven Segal did his fake Brooklyn neighborhood accent in his movie. It sounded the same. DeNiro got a lot better with his accent now.

Eric Roberts and Julia Roberts are half-brother/sister. I always thought that it was Julia who brought her brother into acting. However, it was Eric who, while working on a picture, suggested his sister be given a part.

By the way, Julia's first name is really Judy. She changed it to Julia when she discovered that there was already an actress with that first name.

Another beloved comedy series is coming back for a new installment on its original network. CBS has given 13-episode series order to Murphy Brown, a revival of the 1988 sitcom with its creator Diane English and star Candice Bergen both set to return. Warner Bros. TV, which was behind the original series, is the sole studio.

Bergen will reprise her role as the famous investigative journalist and TV anchor at the FYI network, as Murphy Brown returns to a world of cable news, social media, fake news and a very different political and cultural climate. I hear talks are underway with other original cast members to return.

On the one hand I love Seinfeld, on the other the decline of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which has become way too self-aware, spells bad omens.

I can see Elaine and George working in any return. But Michael Richards is 68 so it's doubtful he will be able to pratfall, which was so intrinsic to his character. And Jerry Seinfeld is bald now, which was a key part of George's insecurity and made him the butt of jokes within the group - so would Jerry wear a wig?

This Seinfeld post 9/11 spec script is pretty funny. Maybe they should hire this guy to be on the writing team?

Which is precisely the thing. A Seinfeld return would've made more sense in the years after 9/11.

I can't help but feel as if it's missed the boat now with the way the world is and how TV has changed.

I am COMPLETELY against this! Leave well enough alone and come up with original ideas. With films, TV shows and everything else, I'm tired of reboots/prequels/sequels, etc. As Jerry said, the show was done right the first time. If you want to visit them at any time: stream them on Hulu, pop in the DVD or turn on TBS at any point of the day!

Its all about the money..

Unfortunately, you're right. It's a business and I get that. Studios only care about making money. But here's an original idea: if you make a really good movie, rather than pumping out crap, you'll make more money, because it'll be something people want to have more of. Nowadays it's quantity over quality.

I watch the Big Bang Theory quite a bit. Its characters are regularly filmed eating. Well, it seems like they're eating. It's been about a year or so ago that I started noticing that they seldom actually eat anything; they play with their food. Now I can't help but notice them doing that. It's not quite an obsession of mine yet, but it is an annoyance of sorts. I wish I could un-notice them not eating. In fact, I've started noticing the same things in other programs and movies.
