By making people look up the word dotard, Kim Jong Un has done more for American education than Betsy DeVos.
I joke, but it couldn't be a more serious issue. Her humiliating performance on 60 Minutes got attention, but it's about her policy agenda and complete lack of qualifications that we need to be concerned with. The damage she is doing will be with us for a long time.

I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?

Some charter schools follow common core, as do many private and parochial schools. It depends on both the individual state/schoolboard/B of E, and school.

Democrats criticize Trump's appointees and these are the same people that voted for crooked Hillary that has a hard time standing on her own two feet.
What does that have to do with political appointees? And what if you didn't vote for Hillary, then are you allowed to critique Trump's choices? Like I always say, not trying to be rude, but I can't help but notice just about every single time someone criticizes Trump they are met with "But Democrat so-and-so did XYZ so they are worse!". Which has nothing to do with solutions, especially if you're like myself and not a Democrat. I criticize Trump's appointees, but I'm not a Democrat and did not vote for Hillary. I've stated why I don't think DeVos was worthy of appointment. What's your retort?Again, not trying to be an asshole, but I'm genuinely interested to know how you feel without resorting to whatboutism.

Who cares who you voted for, I have a right to defend Trump's appointees just as you have a right to criticize. Even if you were a republican, and there are swamp republicans that hate Trump, you would of been met with the same fate. What am I supposed to do keep track of who you voted for. Furthermore, you weren't the only one that criticized Trump's appointees. Did I mention you by name? The answer is no ! If you did not vote for Hillary then you shouldn't be bothered by what I said about her. Devos was not the only Trump appointee/future appointee that was criticized here, you can go back and check; and where in my statement did I mention Devos ? So did I give you facts or did I resort to whatboutism ? It looks like you jumped the gun.

I mentioned DeVos specifically because that's an appointee that I criticized, so I figured I would explain why to show you in good faith that I'm not just doing so blindly. And why would you have to mention me by name for me to question your thought process?
You don't seem interested in answering my questions though, so I'll leave it there. I was polite and tried to answer your questions the best I know how. Apparently you seem pissed off for something I do not know. But who cares. You didn't even attempt to answer my questions, I at least tried. Now you are doing whatboutism, what the fuck that means. I am willing to end it there but if you want to carry this conversation further let's go.

I can't help but notice just about every single time someone criticizes Trump they are met with "But Democrat so-and-so did XYZ so they are worse!". . Whataboutism (also known as whataboutery) is a variant of the tu quoque logical fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument,[1][2][3] which is particularly associated with Soviet and Russian propaganda.[4][5][6] When criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union, the Soviet response would be "What about..." followed by an event in the Western world.[7][8][9]...
...Critics say that US President Donald Trump has engaged in whataboutism in response to criticism leveled at him, his policies, or his support of controversial world leaders.[4][88][89] National Public Radio (NPR) reported, "President Trump has developed a consistent tactic when he's criticized: say that someone else is worse."[4] NPR noted Trump chose to criticize the Affordable Care Act when he himself faced criticism over the proposed American Health Care Act of 2017, "Instead of giving a reasoned defense, he went for blunt offense, which is a hallmark of whataboutism."[4] NPR noted similarities in use of the tactic by Putin and Trump, "it's no less striking that while Putin's Russia is causing the Trump administration so much trouble, Trump nevertheless often sounds an awful lot like Putin".[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism
"...the successful annihilation of organized crime's subculture in America would rock the 'legitimate' world's foundation, which would ultimately force fundamental social changes and redistributions of wealth and power in this country. Meyer Lansky's dream was to bond the two worlds together so that one could not survive without the other." - Dan E. Moldea
