Auto tariffs. Possibly. Which China had promised to lower back in November, they have been dropping them steadily over the past few years. So maybe they'll go a little lower. The Chinese play the long game, but no one expects China to cave. They'll just lighten some discriminatory practices. The Chinese approach to business is very different than the American approach, as is the Sino economic system If they do, it's good news for a company like Tesla, that has no factories in China. For companies like GM, Ford, Chrysler, that already have Chinese factories that produce cars for the Chinese market it means nothing. They don't pay tariff on those cars. Beijing filed a complaint with the WTO on the steel and aluminum tariffs. https://www.apnews.com/amp/2ce8db8e7ac2416c9cbb5041ddf8644f?__twitter_impression=trueThe US would have a stronger hand vis-a-vis China if it had joined TPP and was confronting China not unilaterally but in concert with Japan and the 10 other nations who along with US constitute 40% of global economy.

All God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.
I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?

Someone recently asked me if I thought Trump was stupid. I answered that he's not inherently stupid--he never could have been elected president if he were stupid. But, he's done stupid things as President. One of the dumbest was to fire FBI director Comey just as his investigation of Russian meddling in the election was getting close to the White House. Reason it was stupid: Trump's action invited a special prosecutor--and special prosecutors aren't in the business of exonerating the people they investigate. They get fame and fortune by convicting people. Mueller won't stop until he finds something to hang Trump with. His order to seize Trump's lawyer's records of payments of hush money to the porn star has the potential to lead to an impeachable offense. I agree with that.
