Has there been any push back against the ndrangheta as of late? They have gotten attention in the media a lot more than they have in past years and I wonder how that affects them if it does at all.
Since 1990's the main focus of italian police was sicilian mafia, even today they are very much focused on finding Matteo Messina Denaro. I would say 'Ndrangheta doesn't get much attention from police, its still Sicilian Mafia followed by Camorra.
I bet it also has to do with the fact that the 'Ndrangheta is much harder to investigate and make a case against, with all their secrecy and family bonds..
Could be. They’ve arrested some top bosses in the past like Francesco Pesce I think his name is. And I was just made aware of the Jimmy DeMaria who ran Canadian operations for them. Also, why is the Camorra more of a threat in law enforcements eyes? Are they more violent?
