I'm pretty privy 2 this organization (Phila.) when it comes 2 back in the day material..but I found myself wondering...there was a rumor yrs. ago that b 4 Salvie Testa was whacked.. he & Scarfo had an argument in Scarf's apt. or office on Georgia ave. & Scarfo threw Salvie out of the place....anybody know any details specifically (Hey Serp...) about the argument besides the usual Salvie /Maria stuff??

They never had a "feud". In fact Salvie remained loyal even though it was clear that nicky and chuckie were plantinha To kill him

I've actually heard of them having an argument over something as well but I can't recall the details or where I heard it.

No feud,Scarfo read on a newspaper that Salvie Testa was "The Crowned Prince of Philly Mafia" thinked that Salvie wanted to be the boss and ordered to whack him.That's it.Salvie was a stonecold killer and if he would kill scarfo,would easly shoot him in the head.

Well the argument could have been about numerous things IF it ever did occur.

1. Salvie pulling out of the wedding/ and the disrespect it shows (although deep down Scarfo was most likely pleased, since a Testa/ Merlino alliance was now out of the equation)

2. Scarfo accusing Salvie of dealing drugs/ and trying to take over which Salvie would obviously deny.

Obviously I had no real inside knowledge of what was going on because I was a neighbor and friends not involved in there family but as soon as that it was said once or twice we were all so close that many herd certain things .

The Chuckie thing is huge and it’s that favor for Chuckie that Nick did was the reason Nick had such a hatred to Chuckie when Chuckie did not act like a underboss of a major crime family should and that killed Nick.

I did hear something and I herd it was at a dinner around here where a argument or some truths were brought up about Salvie and that’s when it started and it was also said that a other time was down in Scarf Inc. office but I never was told any more and did not hear anything else .

Now that does not mean that it did not happen it just may mean that the hunting of Salvie shut all that talk off like it should have.

So I have no proof or a reliable person to say that it was true it was all bar talk around friends family and spouses that it started with and of course after Salvie death nobody was bringing up the past of people that were close so it never came back up.

Wherever u heard that from , it sounds like typical Scarfo & is a thought 2 be had...although Scarfo's boat was an 85 footer. Shitty? maybe..but still out of Scarfo's ego , it was bigger. Even Joey Pung has stated on occasion that "The Usual Suspects" was a bigger boat than Salvies.

Nicks boat was around 40ft don’t remember size of Salvie boat but it was nice he kept it in Ventnor at a house on the water his father owned then of course it went to Sal.

No Nick was not the type of guy to let anyone that was not made to know shit it not like it was the Elk’s club he was a old time mob guy . The only people that was around was people he seen on his block there entire life or guys in his life .

Serp, I was told by someone who has been around these guys for a long time. He has some pretty interesting stories from back in the day. One story he told me was during the Riccobene war. Harry went down the shore and was yelling for Nicky to come out of his apartment to settle the feud like men. Any truth behind this?

Did u ever see the Mobfathers /Nicky Scarfo episode w/ Bill Curtis where Salerno explains how Scarfo lawyer Bobby Simone "tore apart my character" & explains the whole Vincent Falcone scene 4 like 15 minutes?....I had it on VCR but it got warped over the yrs.,... .fuckin shame.. was my fav mob tape.

No I don’t think I seen that hoodlum but would definitely like to! Heard the reenactment a few times from Leonetti mainly though and in mafia prince I think he goes into more detail. Also remember reading about his 1st hit he actually done with falcone where they threw the guns on top of some roof after. And another time they got into a beef with a local biker in a club and Scarfo makes Leonetti shoot the guy on his doorstep. So brazen that surprised he didn’t catch a case on that one straightaway!

He was not a friend or one of us in the neighborhood but he did come around (loved to run his mouth)but was not looking for friends he was looking for the life and he found it,and I think he even had a side apartment in AC he lived over the bridge in Brig.

From that time till they got taken down was a very very busy time for all of us legitimate or not money was flowing and people were coming to Ducktown the lower guys from the families and associates were rolling in it was a revolving door and just a money machine back then.

When made guys would come around we would not usually be involved they would go do what they were going to do the only times for most part that regular guys were with them was in a the neighborhood social club or pool hall or bars.

When a made guy is with his regular or neighborhood friends the dynamic wouldchange if another made guycame into where ever we were unless it was say the five or so that lived on the street it was the way it was.

You know just like in your life I did not hear a lot when it was happening if I was busy or with a new girl jodsite whatever there were times that the guys on the street would not see each other for weeks and weeks and the made guys even less unless like I say you were looking to get in . Nobody but them had time to hang “ well of course the Feds did !!!

In regard to the story about Harry confronting Nick :

Even though I'm not from that area, I knew a guy who was and knew Harry pretty well. He told me a similar story only that it was either some girlfriend of Nick's house or another friend's place that Nick used to use occasionally for liaisons with one of his mistresses. Harry supposedly told Nick something to the effect of that he was sick of him sending people after him and to come on outside so they could settle it !!!

From what the guy told me about Harry, I'd be really surprised if he went over to Nick's place on North Georgia due to Nick's family living there. Harry didn't operate like that, unlike Nick's guys who killed two different Riccobene faction members in front of their own mothers, including of course Harry's own half-brother. The guy spoke very highly of Harry the few times he talked to me about him he said that Harry was very smart, had a lot of balls, and was very well-liked by his crew and virtually everybody he ever did business with.

I, of course don't know for certain if the story is true, but figured since it was mentioned on here and Serp said he'd also heard something about it, that I'd add my "two cents".
