Yes he was a boxer in his teens, he was in the Crazy Joe Gallo crew but was very close to Larry Gallo. After Joe Gallo was killed he and Albert ‘Kid Blast’ Gallo we’re absorbed into the Genovese borgata. He was close to Chin through boxing. He flew low under the radar and never caught any pinches that I know of and was supposedly highly respected. Some of my info came from DeMatteos book ‘growing up mafia’

I didn’t really like the book much, author probably is or was a knockaround and supposedly was close to Albert Gallo. I respect the author because he stayed old school and didn’t air any laundry but seemed like he had a hard on for Albert Gallo and Punchy for giving up the Gallo war and getting made into the ‘West Side Crew’ he mentioned Bobby Borriello I learned they are from same south Brooklyn hood.
If anyone here is from the d Gowanus area n red hook maybe they know who all the characters are but I never heard of most of them but I was raised in the city so that place was out of bounds to me.
