there's no harm in ensuring Americans (and Americans only) express their Constitutional right of voting by providing a government issued ID. Yes, there is. A "right" means just that. It is inalienable. What if someone doesn't have their ID? They lose their right? Because they don't have a card with their picture and name on it? Who checks the IDs? What if they have a political agenda of their own, and decide to reject IDs even though there's nothing wrong with them, because they're in a district where most people are registered to the opposition party of theirs? You don't need a card to exercise a right. A right is a right, period. You really need to take a government refresher course, or maybe actually read the constitution for once, other than just the 2nd amendment, and you probably don't even know or understand the text to that. Wow, love the way you totally just cropped out my question about the Second Amendment. And to answer your question, yes, if someone doesn't have their government issued ID, then yes, they cannot vote. Go home and get it. It's really that simple. You're spouting conspiracy theories and it's not very becoming of you. More than likely the voter drove himself/herself to vote so they should already have the ID on them when they rolled up to vote.

Anything that would require ID or credentials is a privilege. A right is something that is granted to everyone, come as they are. And, according to our constitution, voting is a right. You don't know the difference between a right and a privilege. You need to take a U.S. history refresher course, and read the constitution. Or maybe watch some condensed youtube video that explains the constitution in its entirety to you. The fact that you only want to talk about the 2nd amendment says everything. There are 26 other amendments, and a 7 part preamble. But you have no idea what any of this means. You only know of the 2nd amendment, and you probably don't even know the text or interpretations of that.

There's nothing wrong with ensuring Americans, and once again, Americans only vote in our elections. You can continue to spout that a government issued ID isn't required and I'll continue to spout that it is. What are you hiding in having to show it? Sorry if I don't take illegals at their word that their Americans. This is the future of our country that we're talking about and who shapes the policies for the next 4/8 years.

There is something wrong with checking IDs to vote, and the founding fathers were the ones who thought so. Anything that credentials and ID are required for is a privilege by definition. A right is something automatically granted to everyone on the soil. The reason for this is that there would be too many ways to corrupt the ID process. The founding fathers were smart enough to understand this (Clearly not everyone else is...). Whatever the case, they put it in writing. It's the supreme law of the land. If you don't like it, start your own country where you can put a velvet rope with armed thugs in front of each voting precinct.

No I actually do care about democracy. No you don't. You want to make the right to vote as difficult as possible for people to exercise, meanwhile you want the right to bear arms to be as easy as buying a gun off the shelf. Your prioritization of rights is a clear indicator of where you stand on democracy. Yes, I actually do (thanks for trying to tell me my business though). And make a right to vote as difficult as possible? Wow, bringing 1 piece of identification is really killing me. I don't know how I lug it around with me every time I get behind the wheel of a car. Incredibly burdensome it is! And I didn't say I wanted to make the right to bear arms as easy as buying a gun off of a shelf. I was using your fallible logic that it is a right. And if you don't want to show your ID to vote, then why should I have to show one to purchase a gun or have a background check conducted? I wasn't advocating it but rather posing the question to you, which you continue to side step as if you're Fred Astaire.

So again, where do you stand on the 2nd Amendment then? Oh that's right, you'll avoid it. So then why do I need to provide an ID and have a background check conducted on me to purchase a firearm? You KNOW he isn't going to answer your question because it would destroy everything he's ever said about guns and he doesn't want to admit he's wrong since he's spent half his time here telling us we don't deserve our guns. He's going to do nothing but sidetrack every answer until someone changes the narrative and then he hopes you'll forget about it. That's how you know you've got him when he starts avoiding answering questions. Totally understood. That's why I won't let him forget and continue to hold his feet to the fire on the subject. Check and mate!
