WOW, I did not see this coming! James Gunn Fired as Director of 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3'James Gunn is exiting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The move comes after conservative personalities resurfaced old tweets in which the filmmaker joked about controversial topics such as pedophelia and rape. Gunn, who has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, has since deleted his Twitter account.
"The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him," said Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn in a statement.
Before deleting his account, Gunn tweeted, "Many people who have followed my career know when I started, I viewed myself as a provocateur, making movies and telling jokes that were outrageous and taboo. As I have discussed publicly many times, as I’ve developed as a person, so has my work and my humor."
Gunn has been writing the script for Guardians 3, and the movie was expected to begin shooting in Atlanta in the fall for an expected 2020 release date, though Marvel Studios had never officially announced the date. The Guardians movies have been a massive success for Disney and Marvel. The first movie made more than $773 million worldwide while the second made $863 million. The films stood out from other Marvel movies as they were infused with Gunn's off-kilter filmmaking sensibilities that owed more to indie genre movies than slicker cookie cutter studio fare. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige had previously indicated that Gunn would continue to work with Marvel after Guardians 3 helping shepherd the cosmic side of the studio's universe.

You better be two inches or else you might destroy her birth canal. My tongue is about that length. And I'm very thirsty when I look @ her.

Hitler's HollywoodI signed up for Filmstruck earlier today and watched this documentary. I thought it was absolutely fantastic. Narrated by Udo Kier, this documentary explores the propaganda machine of film under Hitler's Third Reich. Over 1,000 films were made under Joseph Goebbels and the Nazi's; most of which probably haven't seen much of the light of day in the west since the conclusion of World War II. If you're in to film, politics or history, I would recommend checking this out. By the way, I know some other members here are in to classic movies, Filmstruck is a partnership between TCM and Criterion. I recommend the service. $6.99 per month for the basic package, $10.99 per month for the Filmstruck + The Criterion Channel (which is what I signed up for). Filmstruck Wow, would love to see that since I love History and old footage and films. Is that the only option for seeing this Doc?

Nichelle Nichols, the actress who brought Lieutenant Uhura in Star Trek to life, has been diagnosed with dementia, according to conservatorship documents obtained by TMZ. She is 85 years old.
TMZ says that Dr. Meena Makhijani, a specialist in osteopathic medicine, has been treating Nichols for the last two to three years. According to Makhijani, the disease has progressed. Nichols has significant impairment of her short-term memory and “moderate impairment of understanding abstract concepts, sense of time, place, and immediate recall,†reports TMZ.
"Generosity. That was my first mistake." "Experience must be our only guide; reason may mislead us." "Instagram is Twitter for people who can't read."

It's available on Amazon Prime but it's not included in the subscription. To watch it they'll charge you $3.99. I suggest giving Filmstruck a chance. Your basic package is $6.99 per month or if you want to add the Criterion Channel (which I've done), it'll run you $10.99 a month.
