215 lbs.

I max 170 on bench and 215 on squat.

That's pretty good. I think 170 was my max in 10th grade.

225 lbs. on the bench press.

Best full squat was 315 lbs. 1 rep with a spotters. I could do hacks/half squats with 495 lbs. which required a couple of spotters and safety bars on a squat rack.

Now, I see a chiropractor twice a month for lower back problems, and in the last couple of years, both knees have started to ache.

I watched the meager coverage of weightlifting from the Athens Olympics last summer, the first Olympic style weightlifting competition I'd seen in a long time. I was surprised to see lifters at the higher weight classes lifting WITHOUT a belt. I shovel snow with a weight belt for fear of sending a kidney through my rib cage if I lift a shovel full of wet snow the wrong way.

My one-time max bench is 245 lb. For high school football recruiting, the scouts want to know how many times a player can bench 185 lb. I just tried that last week, and I got 185 lb 11 times.

My one-time max squat is 355.

In 2003 I maxed at 315 and could do 12 reps of 225. But I hurt my shoulder and now I don't bench anymore. I'd say right now I'd be lucky if I could do 225.

Last year I did 175 with my legs. Don't know what its called.

And I can do around 115 benchpress.

Cuz I'm a girl and I'm weak.

That's very good. Do you lift regularly? My gf can only do 65 lbs, but she never lifts.

Nah... not really. Once a week or so.. my brothers got a weight set for christmas.. so I've been using that.

The first and last time I ever got into that was my freshman gym class in High school. I weighed 125 and the most I ever maxed was 100

(Groan) At my peak ( many years ago ), I benched 335 with an Olympic barbell, and 370 on a Universal machine. One rep each. Today I'm doing three sets of 16 reps each with about 145 lbs. every other day. My shoulder joints are absolutely shot.

Turnbull, 16 reps is VERY high- what exactly are you looking for?

and every other day is REALLY overtraining, your muscles need 72 hours in between workouts to properly heal.
