Some big trades today in both MLB and the NBA. Kawhi Leonard goes from San Antonio to Toronto in a package deal headlined by DaMar DeRozan. And then Manny Machado goes from Baltimore to the Dodgers.

Wow, this is insane right here. Just another reason I don't care about football or the NFL. This guy actually believes that the fall of this country will be dependent upon the fall of football. Just wow, you can't make this stuff up!

On Tuesday the Yankees got Zach Britton for Dillon Tate, Josh Rogers and Cody Carroll. I'm happy they got Britton because not only does it make the Yankees bullpen stronger, but it kept him away from Boston and Houston. But we didn't need Britton and I wasn't crazy about giving up Tate for him since Britton's a free agent at the end of the year.

And now it's being announced the Yankees got J.A. Happ for Brandon Drury and Billy McKinney which I am not happy about at all! Another rental player and I wouldn't have given up either of those 2 guys for Happ. Yes the Yankees need pitching but this is not the answer to that problem.

Big trade for Jonathan Schoop from Baltimore to Milwaukee.

The Yankees also traded Adam Warren to the Seattle Mariners for $1.25 million in international bonus pool money. I'm sad to see him go as Warren was always a reliable workhorse for us, but he's a free agent at the end of the year and I don't think the Yankees are going to resign him. I wish him luck with his new team!

They also traded Tyler Austin and Luis Rijo to Minnesota for Lance Lynn. Rumor is he's taking Warren's place in the bullpen.

And Chris Archer is a Pirate now. Wow!

Mets Suck

You think they should have traded deGrom and/or Syndergaard or are you happy they held on to them? If Bruce Harper walks away from the Nationals in the offseason (which I think he's going to do), Washington will be kicking themselves for not getting something for him while they could. At least Baltimore got something out of Machado.

Sonny Gray is getting moved to the bullpen. Lance Lynn will take his spot in the rotation. Hopefully Sonny can figure it out as he's still under club control for another 2 years. His numbers away aren't bad (3.62 ERA and 3 homeruns) but at home he's a disaster (7.71 ERA and 10 homeruns). Also, Chance Adams and his 3-5 record and 4.50 ERA in Triple A has been promoted.

I think that the Nats need only a small tweak to be a great team but they will be ripped apart.

Atlanta is a solid Team.

Unfortunately for the Mets, they've been bitten by injuries the last 2 years. They built the team the right way, through their rotation. But unfortunately, they don't have much of an offense. And I feel bad/couldn't predict what happened to David Wright.

I'm assuming you're a Mets fan DuesPaid? If so, do you think the Mets should have sold at the deadline (namely deGrom and/or Syndergaard) or are you happy they held on to their assets? The Mets built their team the right way with focus on their rotation, but unfortunately, they've been beset with injuries and they've never had much of a lineup.

On another message board some dallas cowboys fans were asking if there are any dallas cowboys friendly bars in NY. I told them go to any bar on 18th ave in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and the password to get in is to yell 'how bout them cowboys'.

Great game last night. I didn't stay up to watch all of it but from the highlights, it looked pretty intense. I can't believe Chicago couldn't win either of those games at home. Tonight the Yankees take down the A's!

They dug themselves too big a hole early on and then they couldn't get the big hit when they needed it. Staton unfortunately reminds me too much of A-Rod. His stats look good but how many of those homeruns hit when the game was already out of hand? He strikes out too much and doesn't hit the big one when we need it (to either tie or put us ahead).
