If I remember correctly the issue with Joe Pungitore is that he filed for his sentence to be overturned on the grounds that his lawyer was intimidated by the other guys—that Phil was drawing pictures of dead rats and showing them around, etc. Also that Pung's lawyer wanted to testify that Nicky Crow was a heavy drug user, but couldn't because Scarfo, et al wouldn't let him—because Crow would have said "yes, I did coke all the time with Bobby Simone."

According to Stratweiser...Joey is being released from prison early due to some reform act...he'll be released to a halfway house in October.

If true the Feds will be scrambling to bring that case if they can put it together without getting embarrassed with a short cut.
