Hilltop,SIRoad Rage on this road at 9 PM ? serious ? My first guess Sicilians. Against Inter Gambino theory: If he had problems in the past with his captains. Why he had not more safety precautions ? Its look like he don't know the driver. A Gambino member he would know. Now I start to think maybe all 5 LCN groups kill him. Maybe he work to much with Sicilians and was to greedy. Finally we need more information. So much question are open. We don't anything sure about Canada / New York, we don't know anything about running operations between LCN and cosa nostra. We don't know how Genovese organized. We don't know anything about connection between family's.

Shocking that the boss of a major crime family wouldn't have more security around his house. Forget cameras. I would think bulletproof windows, doors, and body guards permanently stationed there.
I see what your saying but they barely even kill people anymore in New York. Let alone come to their house and do it while they’re family is inside. I bet after this everyone is on high alert tho and rolling around strapped up

Crime bosses is southern Europe live in literal bunkers. Who ever did this wanted to send a message. There are just so many possibilities, but I don't know much about NYC so I can only make silly guesses. I do think LE will figure out the shooter, but I'm not so sure about who gave the order. I would rule out anything to do with Canada. I don't think many Canadian OC members want to get extradited to the US.

Gene Gotti did seem to be as egotistic as his brother John, but I don't see it...He just served almost 3 decades in prison..You would think he'd wanna lay low...The only way I would put him behind it if Cali basically said f**k you, you got nothing coming The way I remember it, Al D'Arco portrayed him as the opposite. They all have that neapolitan guappo mentality.

I'm talking about thick/high walls around houses, multiple large dogs, cameras, bullet proof glass, thick doors etc etc.

The nature of the hit...in front of his house and in front of his family....just doesn’t seem like something American LCN would do. For one, he’s a boss. And it’s 2019. It just doesn’t make sense. I mean unless this guy was so hard to get to that this was the only plausible way. The NY Times article quoted an anonymous law enforcement official that said Cali was like a “ghost†and no one ever saw him. So maybe whoever did it had been trying and this was a last resort.
It seems like he was a hard target to hit it wouldn’t surprise me if his home was the only place they could catch him and that’s why it went down how it went down

They all have that neapolitan guappo mentality. Yeah but according to most people Gene was different than John and there was always tension between them. Maybe because Gene was well liked and was made before John. I dont think he had anything to do with Cali but I wouldnt doubt that he still wants to be involved. I mean he has been with the Gambinos since he was basically a teenager despite his long jail term

I wonder what Tag would think of this. I certainly never saw this coming, I bet many mobsters in New York neither. Tag, PizzaBoy, Ivy, Skinny, Gamms, etc etc. Some quality people back in the day who havent been around! [/quote] Skinny was a Chump and a Punk. He would not know shit about this. Kid was a fraud. All the others, Solid and would have great input.

Was Cali underboss or boss? Still unclear could also be acting boss. The whole administration is from the “18th Avenue Crewâ€.
