I say WS I guess because we have / had a Westside growing up .... but our Westside was all black or African-American or whatever is the new proper term now.

Just to be clear; "Westside" refers to the Genovese administration. Not the Genovese family as a whole.

Some of you guys confuse me when you start using slang names incorrectly.

Why were they called Westside in the first place? I'm assuming the waterfront. If this is true, who is the eastside? Gambino?

Alot of the old Genovese leaders operated from the westside of Manhattan. If you needed to talk to someone in the Genovese administration you'd send word that you wanted to talk to the westside.
