I have in recent years but not this year. Recently I've been more on a whiskey kick than beer so that's what I've been stocking up on and drinking lately.

Blanton's is always the standard but I've been expanding to try new brands. My go to (and cheaper version) is Buffalo Trace. Eagle Rare isn't a bad poor either. Both bottles "should' be had for under $30.

I entered a contest for rare bourbons at Total Wine and I won the right to purchase a Pappy 23. I went out the next day and dropped $364 which was their retail price. My wife wants to sell it, I want to drink it with friends. Part of me wants to keep it for a special occasion. I have five kids and the oldest is 14. Maybe save it for when he gets married of graduates college. I don't know what to do.

I’d hang on to it personally. Never tried Pappy as they’re hard to come by as well. Have you ever had it? If so, worth the price?

Never had it. My buddy had the 10 and said it slips down your throat like velvet. He's also a little fucking nuts. I checked the secondary market price and it can go for between 3500-4500 a bottle. Who would ever pay that much I have no idea

Good for you DP. Either way you go. I went dry to January to shed the holiday pounds I brought back with me. Was thinking of cutting back myself. We'll see (this time of year I always gain a little weight because of the girl scout cookies and Reese's peanut butter eggs). We'll see what it's like after Easter.

Just had two cases of my swill beer ( miller ) tow six packs of Coney Island Mermaid pils and two six packs of Brown dog ale delivered.

My local B D is owned by a friend of mine and he had one of his guys drop it in my garage.
