Glad to hear he's doing better Fergie. There's been so much bad news, it's nice to hear some good news in this.

All God's children are not beautiful. Most of God's children are, in fact, barely presentable.
I never met anyone who didn't have a very smart child. What happens to these children, you wonder, when they reach adulthood?

More good news: My granddaughter had the virus but, thank goodness, didn't need to be hospitalized. She's fine now, returned to work on Monday. (Keeping fingers crossed): Hoarding seems to be diminishing in this part of northern Arizona. My wife did a big shopping today and got everything we needed except black beans. Still no TP, though. Down here in north Texas we are doing fairly well too. Krogers, Braum's, and Walmart have, so far, all we've needed (including TP). So far also, the kids and grandkids appear to be okay.

I'm glad she's doing well Turnbull.
Toilet paper is hit or miss here. Same for paper towels. The cleaning aisles at my walmart are still bare, no lysol, hand sanitizer, etc. Luckily I'm old and familiar with cleaning with clorox, or as my grandmothers used to call it `jevel'

A Catholic leader is calling for a mass exorcism amid the coronavirus pandemic, as Christians around the world celebrate Holy Week in isolation.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano of Rome called on his fellow clergy to perform a mass exorcism on Holy Saturday, the day between Good Friday, Jesus' crucifixion, and Easter Sunday, celebrating his resurrection.
"In these modern times of terrible tribulation, when the pandemic has deprived Catholics of Holy Mass and the Sacraments, the Evil One has gone into a frenzy and multiplied his attacks to tempt souls into sin,"

Everyone we're putting on ventilators are dying. Not one patient extubated yet. I've said fuck it, just send me to the covid unit every shift. Eventually, I'll get it and get two weeks off of work. Before we intubated the last guy, the docs told him there is a slim chance you'll survive but if we don't try, you will die in a matter of hours. He gets on the phone and calls his wife and tells her how much he loves her. Now the ventilator is breathing for him. This is so Fucked up. The ones that die are dying alone. No family members or visitors period. If I wasn't a healthy person and started getting the symptoms, I'd say fuck it and die in my bed by my own means. I don't have the link, but one medical professional has been sounding an alarm that the ventilators need to be re-programmed for use with COVID-19 patients. He states that that the way the ventilators work now, is doing more harm than good.

Apple, Google to provide software to phones for coronavirus infection trackinghttps://www.pennlive.com/coronaviru...-for-coronavirus-infection-tracking.htmlNew software the companies plan to add to phones would make it easier to use Bluetooth wireless technology to track down people who might have been infected by coronavirus carriers. The idea is to help national or regional governments roll out apps for so-called “contact tracing†that will run on iPhones and Android phones alike.
Software developers have already created such apps in countries including Singapore and China to try to contain the pandemic. In Europe, the Czech Republic says it will release such an app after Easter. Britain, Germany and Italy are also developing their own tracing tools.
Privacy and civil liberties activists have warned that such apps need to be designed so governments cannot abuse them to track their citizens. Apple and Google said in a rare joint announcement that user privacy and security are baked into the design of their plan.-------------------------------- Well, there's nothing to worry about then! cc: Edward Snowden

Seeing pictures from NYC. Do first responders not know what social distancing is, I can understand two or three people have to break that rule due to certain situations in their jobs, but seeing a dozen, one case nearly 3 dozen people standing around just joking not doing anything, is bad. These have Wednesday to Friday stamped on them. Not including that RN appreciation day, which was ridiculous and horrible. At this point New York residents might have better odds staying at home when sick instead of going to the hospital, or calling 911. All New York posters stay safe. Apple and Google have a good track record when it comes to customer privacy
