Wow...had no idea Survivor was on last night!! So it won't be on tonight? Guess I am not following that too good this season. Angie was the bartender with all the tats, right? She was pretty cool - but early on it was clear she was ostrasized from the rest of the "pretty people". What a shame.

RE: American Idol...check out this email I received at work today (highlight in bold):

Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful and the Rio Rancho High School Key Club NEED YOUR VOTE! Together we received an $8,000 grant from Wrigley's Gum for their "Project Green Up" Program to get our local teens involved in a community improvement project that will occur at Star Heights between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2005. There are eight other grant winners, and only one of the nine communities can win a free concert by American Idol Runner Up Diana DeGarmo! So please go (and have your family and friends go) to the following website, choose Rio Rancho, enter your email, you must be over 13, then submit your vote. KRRB and the Key Club thank you for your vote!

Diana??!! You couldn't PAY me to attend a concert of hers.

RE: The Apprentice - I hope it is still on tonight. Other than AI, the only show I really follow. Go Erin! :p

I can't watch the Amazing Race every single week but catch snippets when I can. I like to watch the show just to check out the exotic locations they go and the challenges they are required to take part in.

8:00 at night is usually when I am home for good and doing random chores around the house. The Apprentice is one of the only shows that all 3 of us at home can agree we like to watch.

Don't watch Survivor nor the Amazing Race, but in addition to AI, this year I got hooked on The Apprentice. My boss's boss told me about it prior to the season, spoke it up so I now use Friday morning for a little 'suck up' time while discussing the show with him.

Actually it is pretty interesting but funny how I really don't know the names. On the guy side I think the one with the best chance of winning is the guy with the short hair and glasses. From the women's side I like the one blonde, she was the one that did a really good job in the miniture golf course show. I am starting to find her kind of hot - in an odd way also recently. But I digress. The one with long black hair - Trump likes her she has a good shot also, she reminds me of my sister-in-law. Actually I think in the end a female will and should win it this year.

Regarding AI - they had the right bottom three but instead of Jessica they should have had Nikko. He was pretty bad Tuesday. It is pretty easy to see there are a handful that shouldn't be there, the next few weeks will be ridding the show of them and then it should get interesting. Next week I hope The Nanny gets the boot.

Speaking of reality shows, I was very into the mock reality show My Big Obnoxious Boss, which was a rip-off of The Apprentice. They asked the contestants to do the most horrible things (hawk "all natural" tampons made of tree bark at a flea market, for example) and then the losers would get punished. One episode, the losers had to actually sleep in a tent city under the Chicago El, because they were such losers that they might as well get used to being homeless! The "boss" was actually an actor and he used to be sooooo horrible and say the weirdest things. I don't know how he did it without laughing. Anyway, I got really hooked and then Fox cancelled it without letting us see how the contestants took the news.

Still way too soon to tell. They've got a good 4 or 5 people to slough off before the real cream starts to rise to the top!!

Personally, I really like Angie, I think she's going places and will hopefully last long on the show. However, I believe she's on the 'Street Smarts' team and no matter what, I cannot picture Trump ultimately making someone with no more than a HS diploma his next 'Apprentice'.

On the 'Book Smarts' team...I think that goofy southern lawyer (Brynn???) has something going for him. I want to see how far he can get.

The winner? Too soon to tell.

Will catchya tomorrow...

I got a chuckle out of this. Mario did this on the Tonight Show a couple nights ago but I didn't see it then.

Top Ten Reasons I Left American Idol

7. "After seeing Michael Jackson, maybe I don't want to be a pop star."

6. "Ryan Seacrest is all hands."

5. "I started liking when Ryan Seacrest was all hands."

4. "Screw it--I'm quitting this, too."

I think Mario would have looked better in them. But then again, I think Mario would have looked better without them. Oh, Bo, he's a rebound kind of guy I guess. I wonder if he has chaps to go with that leather.

Wow..Carrie. Our little country bumpkin is coming out of her shell. She might give Nadia a run for her money.

I think Simon's love affair with Bo is over.

Can somone kindly explain to me what the heck Donny Osmond was doing there? He wasn't even a judge. Just some goofy looking dweeb in the audience. And no one even sang "Puppy love"? Or was that not a #1 hit?

So AI goofed up by posting the wrong phone numbers on the air last night. Now we have to go through another night of them singing? I think I'll pass. No matter how many times she sings Mikalah still sounds worse then the jingle bell dogs. I'll wait until the results show on Thursday.

They said they will have live elements, with recaps of yesterday's show. Maybe that means they'll just be on stage live talking to them, and showing the encores of yesterday's show. I don't know if that means they'll sing the same songs, or just show the clips. It would be hard to vote if they sang the songs over again I guess, and have to compare both show. But we'll see tonight what they do.

I wonder if that's why I had no trouble getting through to vote for Nikko. I was shocked that I was able vote for him at 9:03. Maybe that was the number that they showed for Mikalah! Or for Constanstink aka Danny Partridge. What was up with that song choice? Now, don't get me wrong, I looooooved The Partridge Family in it's day (when I was like 9), but I have to agree with Simon that it was an odd choice for the alleged rocker. He might as well have chosen Puppy Love!!

Carrie was great, as was Jessica. I admit that I was disappointed in Anwar, and that's two weeks in a row. Although I was not bowled over by Bo's performance, I love that Jim Croce song. I thought Vonzell did better than usual.

Although we now have to wait for the revote, my prediction for the bottom three: Anthony, Mikalah and Constantine. Mikalah should be the one to go (please, for my ears' sake).

I tried voting for Carrie from 9:00 until about 9:40 and it was busy, so people were able to call in. I wonder what's gonna happen to people who may have to pay for these calls. I call on my cell phone, and after 9:00 calls are free, so I'm not charged.

If Mikalah doesn't go this week I'll lose all hope in humanity. I also disgress that Anwar was not all that great. He was by no means as bad as some others, but he didn't rock it. I can't believe how people hound on Simon on his comments, when most of the time he's spot on. Paula just needs to get out of her sweetie moods and realize sometimes these people need real, honest critisism. If they can't handle it, then leave.

I think my choice for the bottom 3 are Mikalah, Constantine and Scott. (I need to see him go too).

There was some article where Paula was slamming Simon for being too mean, saying that she and Randy were all about helping these young hopefuls and that Simon was only about "destroying their dreams". Puh-leeze. They are there to judge, not be the contestant's friends.

One thing that did surprise me was that Simon didn't get on Nadia for her 'do. My daughter just kept saying "Yikes! That thing scares me!"

Yeah, I think that article was in "People". Paula's viewpoint is she doesn't want to "crush their dream". Does she think record executives will be sweet and nice to these people? It's a dog eat dog, and people are not going to give contracts to mediocre performers. Why give them false hope? This show is to pick the BEST. Everyone there cannot be the best.

I agree about Nadia's hairdo. That was pretty creepy. I guess it was the image she was trying to project. I just don't think her performance was well enough to adept to her appearance.

You talkin' about the FRO-hawk?? That was a bit extreme but I think she was trying to represent the 80's and pay tribute to that "most unusual girl" Cyndy Lauper.

I didn't catch the show last night, I taped it to watch later- but was watching the re-craps tonight.

My favorites went on a bender - (Nadia/ Anwar - dude!Chaka Khan?? ) - they were weak.

Best vocals of the night to the 2 gals I don't really like that much - Carrie and Jessica. They both even LOOKED better!

Loved Nikko doing the Sisqo song - but that is just my taste in music.

My prediction of the bottom three? Scott, Mikaylah and sadly Nikko with Mikaylah making a tearful and very necessary exit.

What I hope? Scott, Anthony or Constantine (the 2 of them are interchangeable...) and Mikaylah getting the boot.

But what I hope won't happen. The rabid Clay fans love Anthony and I can see Constanstink will get alot of teenybopper votes with his constant posing.

Fro-hawk..hahaha. Maybe Nadia should put a patent on that term so when people start imitating her she can become a star in her own right.

I've like Carrie from the beginning. I wasn't crazy about her or in love with her, but thought she had a "nice" voice. Not enough to win the competition, but last night, or Tuesday night, no make that Monday night, , I thought she had one of the best performances. It seems some people have the moves and showmanship, but not the best voice. The ones with good voices don't exactly move you. So this is gonna be a tricky competition to see how people vote. I tried for over an hour to vote for Carrie last night. But with the show ending at 10 I wasn't gonna stay up until midnight to try to vote. I don't like her that much.

Bottom 3 should be Mikalah, Contanstine and Scott. But maybe America's so pissed with what happened it kept people from voting.

For those who watched it, how was last night's show handled?

My guess is a lot of live interview with a video reshowing of the Monday/Tuesday performance, just my guess though.

Your guess is right. All they did was explain what happened, paraded the singers on stage and replayed their performance. The judges just gave new reviews. They could have just replayed the whole show over as far as I'm concerned.

Must have made for a boring show. In any case, Mikalah should go home tonight.

As for Scott... hmmm... I actually think he's got one of the better voices in the competition. He's a very weak performer though - his movements seem forced and as you guys have said, he runs out of breath when he crosses the stage.

DVR will work its magic tonight - NCAAs, Idol Results show...

You hit the nail on the head about Scott. I think I eluded to it before that having the "voice" is only part of the deal. If the guy wins and tours how's he gonna perform shows if he can barely get through a minute and a half performance without running out of breath. I think we need to look at the big picture. How "marketable" would Scott be. Remember, AI is signing these people to contracts, so they expect money in return. If these guys aren't gonna sell records then what's the point.

If Mikalah doesn't get voted off my tv will stay tuned into Law and order:SVU reruns from now on. Wake me when the nightmare's over.

I've seen only a few episodes of Idol, but I watched last night's and the night before. Anyway, here's my two cents, even though I'm not totally rooting for anyone yet.

I think I'm the only one here (or anywhere) who love, love, LOVED Constantine's rendition of "I Think I Love You." Even though the judges said that it was too theatrical, I think that was the point! It was a nice change from the rest of these people, who take themselves WAY too seriously for their own good. I loved the performance, because not only did he pick a fun song anyway, but you could tell he was having extra fun singing it. He's got a great stage presence, that guy.

I'd love to know why you guys don't like him, by the way.

Bo sounded good, too... I can't take his name seriously (and I can't say it without a major hick accent ), and I don't like his hair or his goatee (or his clothes, for that matter), but oh well. He has a good voice. He indeed sounded very 70's.

Reese Witherspoon (oops, I mean Carrie), Jessica, and that gorgeous black girl in the pink shirt (damned if I remember her name) were all really good, too. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is like one of the best shower songs ever. And ever since Bandits came out, the song always reminds me of that movie (in a good way).

Mikalah gets on my VERY last nerve, and I can't see why she's even made it this far. And why does she talk like a circa-1968 Barbra Streisand? It's annoying. That was only cute on Barbra, and barely, at that.

Anyway, I've gotta stop TiVo-ing stuff, because it's wasting my time. I used to NEVER watch TV before. What happened to me?! And the scary thing is, I'm getting addicted to Idol. I've never seen any of the other seasons, but damn. I think the thing is, I don't watch TV until like 2 in the morning, when I have nothing else to do (except sleep, which I can't do). Before, there used to be nothing on at that time, so I didn't watch it. But now, I can record everything and catch up on it at night... it's turning my brain into mush.

I'm so jealous because I want a TIVO!!

I am so hooked on AI, but it's interfering with West Wing, which makes me crazy!

Btw - FroHawk!! BWAH! I had heard MoFro, but I like FroHawk better.

After watching last night's performances (they thankfully cut Paula crawling all over Simon every two seconds like some drunken nympho), I liked Bo better, as well as Scott and Nikko. I lost some love for Anwar, Carrie and Nadia, who sounded worse than I remembered. I still think that Jessica rocked.

Hated even more: Constantstink and Mikalah with Anthony a close third.

I'm just glad Mikalah is outta dere. Now I can take my toaster away from my bathtub.

I've given up guessing who's the next to go. I wouldn't have picked Nadia to be the next to last. It doesn't shock me though, because based on this week's performance she wasn't that good, and I think her hair scared people away.

I guess we'll have to wait until Tuesday's performances. One week the ones you like are good and then they're bad, and the mediocre ones rock on!!! I still want Scott to go. So if I have to make my personal picks on the final 3 for next week I'd pick Scott, Jessica and Constantine.

I don't know what's happening with Anwar. The first few weeks he wowed me, and I definately had him pegged to be in the top 3. Now he's boring me, and I find his voice annoying.

Sorry, Parts...I think Jessica more or less stunk tonight.

Constantine singing Bonnie Raitt??? Oh, no, no no!!! The Partridge Family was bad enough. He couldn't find any Skid Row or Nirvana to sing?

I think he's definately gonna find himself in the bottom 3 with that fiasco.

Why did I know Carrie would sing "Independence Day". I saw that coming a mile away. Altough I think Carrie and Vonzell were definately the best singers tonight.

My vote for the bottom 3 are Constantine, Scott and Anthony. But my past track record shows I don't know what the heck I'm talking about.

Bethie, I know you are a big Carrie-Okie fan - and I am not denying the girl's got some pipes - but she is like a robot! Simon says "IT FACTOR"??? I couldn't disagree more. Great vocals but zip personality and showmanship.

My favorites disapointed me - bad song choices all around. I am scared for Nadia but she should have been able to pick songs better suited for her. Same with Jessica - that was the best LeeAnn Rimes song for her???? Anwar had the best song pick of the night - one of THE most inspirational hits of the 90's - and he fell flat 'till the end (Simon was right on in his critique of this guy...)

Bo? He has enough rabid fans to get him through. Would have loved to hear him sing Shawn Mullins "Lullaby" or some Pearl Jam if he wanted to show off his rocker side. He would OWN a 3 Doors Down tune!

Nikko did a great job on Tevin Campbell and I especially liked his Comeback Kid jacket. The underdogs prevailed - even Constanstink didn't butcher up Bonnie Raitt and one of my favorite songs TOO BAD but it wasn't as good as the judges all said.

Vonzell tackling THE toughest Whitney song there is? Whew! Gutsy. And that girl gets more gorgeous with each week.

Who I WANT to see in the bottom 3? Scott, Anthony and Constantine with a farewell to Scott.

Who I THINK will be in the bottom 3? Scott, Anthony and Anwar and a buh-bye to ScottytheBody

Film at 11. (Or in my case in the Southwest...8pm)

You liked Constanstink? When he opened his mouth, and I heard that song, I about threw up. I know they're supposed to try to be "different", but out of all the 90's he couldn't find a better song? What's wrong with BonJovi? For once I think the judges were too nice to him.

Carrie does need to liven things up, but her powerful voice puts her ahead of some of the other duds. I don't recall Kelly Clarkson having that much stage appeal either. Why in the world is that girl sticking with rock songs now? Her voice drives me crazy.

I'm disenheartened with Anwar. The guy's looks alone cannot get him the gig. He needs to pick better songs as well. He also needs to find another note to sing.
