Come to think of it, no guest judges this year. That bites. I really liked Mark McGrath during the auditions. And the best guest judge ever? Quentin Tarantino. His critiques were always spot on!!

I saw Neil in the audience and told my daughter he sang, "Breaking up is hard to do". She was not impressed. She just thought he was a creepy old man.

I saw Donny Osmond in the audience a couple weeks ago. I guess this is the only press the has-beens get these days.

Oh, Jim Nabors has one hell of a voice, so I'd believe that. I had that song live at the theatre and it's breathe taking. I've never heard Jim's version, but I'm sure he nailed it.

I say after Ryan does a quick intro, spare us the pain and just have Scott fall through a special trap door set up on the stage. Quick and painless.

I may have to leave the room during Constantine's performance. I always feel dirty and violated when he is singing . Although he IS growing on me as far as entertainment value. I would watch him over boring Carrie and Anthony ANY DAY!

I think I'll just turn it on at about 9:20 to skip the Mantasia performance. I don't want to scare my poor cat. Besides, they tell 2 people they're safe, then go to a commercial, etc, etc. I'll wait to see who the last 3 are.

You guys didn't like Fantasia? You could have done a lot worse than her for the American Idol.

Also, her treatment of the final song last year was incredible. She deserved to win - at least over what's her name.

I agree that she should have won compared to Diana - however I don't believe she would have won competiting against LaToya. Fantasia was good but I felt LaToya was better.

Nope, after Jennifer Hudson and LaToya were gone before their time, I lost interest.

Mantasia did a great rendition of Summertime last season, I'll admit that. But anything else she has done since is just not my taste. I know most of you thought "Ghettofabulous" was my style!!

I hardly listen to the radio, and when I do it's usually on country.

I have my stereo set that if Mantasia comes anywhere close to singing it will self desctruct. That just saves the sweat I would make when I banged it with a sledge hammer.

Actually I get enough R&B/Hip Hop on the radio when Nicole's home. I have 3 more months of country music before Nelly and Usher take over the house again.

I really MUST post more often. Scott was horrible, as was Bo, who I usually love. I thought that Anthony did ok, but the judges just hate him, so it wouldn't matter.

What are these contestants thinking when they pick their songs? There are so many beautiful Broadway tunes, and this is what they come up with? Boooooring. West Side Story, Carousel, King and I - and they picked THOSE songs???? And I agree, I would've loved to see Bo do Jesus Christ Superstar. I even would've liked to hear Carrie or Vonzell try I Don't Know How to Love Him.

Anyway, I really am hoping that Scott or TracheaBoy go tonight. It's long overdue.

My husband said he heard Ryan state that the contestants were going to sing songs from CLASSIC musicals. Maybe they did not allow anything from recent, contemporary shows. Pippen was probably the most recent thing out there.

I would have liked to see the Idols do something different - but the song choices were just plain crazy!

Mantasia = Yikes??? Why am I not surprised. Baseball was on two channels, so I watched that until about 9:15. I was not in the least bit interested in watching that train wreck.

You know, I actually enjoyed Fantasia's performance. Maybe it was in contrast to Tuesday's listless performances, but Fantasia actually made you pay attention by bringing a great amount of energy. My ears could have done with a little less screaching, but I have a feeling that she gave an over-the-top performance on purpose. We all know she can give great understated performances (e.g. Summertime).

On to the results...



Nikko was one of my favorite voices in the competition. No way Vonzell should have been in the bottom 3 if you go by performances. Friggin' teeny boppers.

We gotta tell Buffy to stop voting for Anthony! :p

Seriously, his fan base consists of young girls. I don't know how many times I have read reports where women will comment on his looks and how much hotter he is now that the hair has gelled and the glasses have come off. He is wearing his clothes tighter now supposedly showing his "guns"... I think we know now who the Mario votes are going to....

As for Nadia and Scott, I too have read the same reports but they both insist that they were just photographed having lunch or walking around and that they are really close friends. Everyone says this is the most tight knit Final 12 ever...

Pulllleeeeze, she's a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader and she is HOTTTT - I think she would have better connections and options.

Besides, I really thought I heard Scott say during the auditions he was married. Maybe I just assumed because he talked of his son.
