Kimberly Locke is by no means thin but she puts herself together well and wears flattering clothing that fits her. Fantasia's old-jeans-with flappy-rear-pockets-inside-her-tall-boots look was atrocious. I guess I will never be a FANtasia fan. Well, when Constantine wins this whole thing, we can critique him next year!!

I agree about Nadia. She sticks to her sense of self, no matter what. And I agree with you on what Carrie was wearing. What did Simon say - a washing powder commercial from the 1960's?? By the way, is anyone else disgusted with having Simon's comments interrupted all the time? First of all, it's very nice to hear a judge that speaks English, and isn't drunk. I'm getting very sick of Paula's ramblings (she's falling in love with Constantstink?) and Randy and his dudes and dawgs. I believe that Simon, although he can be cruel, can be very constructive and give the contestants good advice. Between the audience booing, and Paula screaming at him to shut up, I haven't truly heard what he's had to say in a very long time.

Agreed. I have had it with her inability to give constructive criticism. Granted, they play the "good cop, bad cop" routine up there and I really don't expect her to tell people they are "hideous" or "ghastly" or to be insulting. But when the question is asked of her if she thinks the people up there are deserving of the Bottom Three, then just answer the frickin' question! Everyone is going to get a record deal? Oh, THAT is keeping it real. Care to put that in writing Paula???? Randy doesn't really like to name names but at least he agreed there were two people up there he didn't think deserved to be up there and since he is pretty vocal with his opinions, we could all figure out he meant Vonzell and Nikko. And the love for Constantine? Paula likes to say she is everyone's fan. Is it so when she makes her 'supposed' comeback, she will have more fans to buy her CDs? But telling Constantine she thinks she is in love with him that is just absurd! Simon once said he wanted to be Amanda's microphone. But that only happened once. And it was actually quite funny. Simon can utter a funny now and then WITHOUT having to be on the sauce or on crack to do so...

Speaking of Simon: I actually have to say Simon has been really accurate in his critiques so far. Even though you can tell Carrie-Okie is his favorite, he is able to give her (and Bo) much needed criticism when a song doesn't go their way. Telling Constantine his performances of late have been better than Bo's is also true. Telling Anthony Climb Every Mountain was hideous? Harsh but true. I can almost forgive Simon for bringing Carmen 'Goat Girl' Rasmussen back in the Wild Card 2 years ago...

It's too late for Wild Card round, I can't remember in Season 2 when exactly they did it, but it seemed more around the time they were still picking the final 12. I don't recall them doing anything special last year either. This year - when you're out, you're out. I knew Nikko didn't have the whole package to pull off the win, but it is so unfair he left last night. This girl happens to really like his whole package and I really, really looked forward to hearing more from him for AT LEAST 2 more weeks. I just don't get the Scott love. Is he getting the Hawaii votes this year or what?? Hey, it worked for Jasmine last year! :p DB- are YOU voting for Scott?? :p

Regarding the show - I had Nikko and Scott in the bottom three alone with Ant'ney. I was really surprised to see Vonzell there though, a few others I could have imagined before her. Not shocked that Nikko went though, really in the grand scheme of things you have your top tier, those that will be the top 3 or 4. A few others that it's not their time yet but won't make the top tier, and this bottom group which is those that leave in the next 3 weeks - of which Nikko was one. Does it make a difference if he leaves this week or next. Scott should have probably gone, so he stays one more week. And I disagree with that crack whore Paula that not everyone will get a record deal. Will Ant'ney get a record deal if he went last night ? I doubt it. I agree with whoever said it earlier - I think DB is secretly voting for Scott though. :p

Wow, so much to talk about! Instead of quoting everyone before each comment, I'm just gonna make the comments in order, and you can match them like a second grade quiz. :p 1. People are saying Anthony's sexier now without the glasses, but I liked him better with them. He's got a face that looks good behind glasses. 2. I don't know if he's wearing his clothes tighter, or if he gained a little weight. I think it's the latter, personally. 3. LDV, you're right on the money with Carrie's Stepford look. I was trying to place it, and that's just what it is. Or like a suburban newlywed housewife who's dressed up for a wedding. And her hair is always so outdated and "sculpted" looking. Also, she's got a good voice, but it's a voice for country, which by definition either sucks or is boring. She was cute at first, and sometimes she does a good song, but in general I'm getting bored with her. 4. I agree too, Vonzell is gorgeous... if she doesn't win and doesn't get some other contract, she should go into modeling. Can't you see her as the new face of L'Oreal makeup? 5. I love Nadia too, now. I was indifferent at first, but every week, she gets better. And that dress on Tuesday night... WOW! I want it. 6. Paula... OMG I shouldn't even start. I cannot stand this woman!! Remember when being a Laker girl was her only claim to fame? How'd she become an "industry insider" all of a sudden? Anyway, I love Simon too, but the guy can't open his mouth without her yelling at him and biting his head off!! I'd pay to see the day when he slaps her a fresh one across the face and tells her to SIT the #$%@ down!! Anyway, if it wasn't apparent from my nineteen-hundred-some-odd posts so far, it is obvious now from my numbered post that I am, unarguably, a nerd. I even wear suspenders and snort as I push my glasses up my nose, I swear! :p

I won't quote you either Letizia But a few comments to which I whole-heartedly agree with you: 1. Saying Anthony looks good behind his glasses is like saying Scott looks thin behind a Hummer. Ooops, sorry DB - guess I couldn't help myself with the fat jokes! 3. A note to Carrie - have you ever heard of a show called Nashville Star? It is sooo popular and "with it" that one of the judges is Brett Michaels, lead singer of the 80's hair band Poison!! Carrie should so go audition there. Take her psuedo-Stepford Reba McIntyre look there.... 4. Vonzell for L'oreal? Good catch. She is a total babe. Love her. 5. Agreed. Nadia OWNED that dress Tuesday night. Beeeee-U-tiful! 6. Funny about Paula being an AI judge. Remember her music from the 80's? I can only used one word to describe it: "Pitchy"

For all you "PaulaHaters" in need of a giggle(from the Toronto Star): Apr. 7, 2005. 08:04 AM Someone please stop Paula Abdul VINAY MENON Paula Abdul must go. Don't care where, don't care how. Just go. Please. Readers of this space will know that calling for one's head is usually verboten. But today's dispatch is an exception. Let us now ask — no, beg — producers to quietly extricate Paula from her judge's chair. Somebody must intervene and bring an end to the blathering spectacle that is Paula Abdul, circa 2005. On Tuesday's performance show, in which contestants belted out showtunes, Paula seemed positively erratic. Scott Savol was first to perform, going with "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha. Between the static phrasing and squealing high-notes he sounded like a Man of La Senza. No matter. To Pollyanna Paula, every performance is a sonic orgasm. "Let me tell you, Scott, to open the show like that," she gushed. "I think this is one of the most heartfelt performances so far in this competition." When Simon called it "ordinary," Paula interjected. "Oh, it was extraordinary," she hissed. Why is Paula talking over the other judges? Why are her eyes so glassy these days? Do her toes itch? Is that why she's always stomping her feet during impromptu one-woman ovations? Constantine Maroulis was next. He selected "My Funny Valentine" from Babes in Arms. He stormed the stage looking like he just sacrificed a virgin. When he was done warbling and staring into the camera with the unblinking menace of a serial killer, Paula applauded like a giddy toddler on a sugar high. "Okay, I lost it, I lost it, like, in the first verse," she stammered. "The first step is admitting it. I admit I'm falling in love with you." Creepy. And interesting. Do you get the feeling she's familiar with step programs? Simon started to talk but, again, was cut off by Petulant Paula. Next up: Carrie Underwood. She sang "Hello, Young Lovers" from The King and I. Carrie looked exquisite in her baby blue dress, her face framed by tangles of golden hair. She was delightfully retro. Simon noted, "It was rather like watching a washing powder commercial in 1965." Paula giggled like this was The Funniest Joke Ever! She cradled her head and was like, Oh, Simon, you don't `wash' your powder! Time for Vonzell Solomon. She bravely went with "People" from Funny Girl. Surprise: Paula was back on her feet, her arms contorted over her head, clapping like a trained seal in need of fish. After Randy let fly with one of his gender-neutral exclamations — "Dude!" — Paula displayed a penchant for existential tautology. "That was such a bold choice to pick a Barbra Streisand song. But Barbra is Barbra and Vonzell is now Vonzell." And the audience at home is now scared. Simon glanced at her with the muted concern of a parent in the stumbling company of a drunken child. Reluctantly, he said Vonzell left him cold. "How in the heck could that leave you cold?" asked Paula, palms outstretched with plaintive indignation. Then she rested her head on a fist and gazed quizzically into Simon's eyes like they were magical jellybeans. Anthony Federov unwisely selected "Climb Ev'ry Mountain" from The Sound of Music. He arrived in white trousers and a blue shirt that made him look and sound like the 1-3 a.m. act on a discount cruise ship. Randy could not sugarcoat things: "I didn't think it was very good at all." As he was talking, Paula decided at least eight seconds had passed since she last upstaged a colleague. She held her right arm behind Randy's back and encouraged catcalls from the crowd with an exaggerated thumbs-down gesture. After Nikko Smith showed off his mid-'80s ensemble — polka-dot tie, banker's vest and top hat — Anwar Robinson sang "If Ever I Would Leave You" from Camelot, which should certainly end speculation about his sexual preferences. Noted Paula: "The second you smile, it melts America's hearts." Then she winked at the grinning unicorns only she can see. Bo Bice sang "Corner of the Sky" from Pippin. If you missed it, imagine the Allman Brothers doing The Lion King dressed like the Village People. As the night wore on, so did Paula's ability to enunciate. To transcribe her comments about Bo, I needed to rewind the tape 36 times. "In the package earlier you said you were keeping your fingers crossed, you could cross your toes, you could cross your legs, you are in this competition," Paula said, showing off her pig Latin. Simon said Bo had suffered his second bad week. Paula looked ready to slash his jugular with a butter knife. "Oh, baloney! Baloney!" she hollered. "It's showw-thunes!" Yeah, Shimon, shtop bwingin ush dhown! Nadia Turner, mercifully, was the last to sing. She selected "As Long as He Needs Me" from Oliver! and took to the stage in a satin wedding dress. Judging by her hair, she was also electrocuted earlier in the day. The cameras caught Simon whispering to Paula. He probably told her to relax and that in a few minutes she could gobble down some Skittles. The show ended. Ryan encouraged viewers to vote. He thanked the judges. Paula clapped. She laughed maniacally. Then her head rolled back and she clapped some more. -- Who IS this Vinay guy? I LIKE him!!!

One thing that came back to me as I was reading this article was how Paula was referring to the way Vonzell sang "People" and how she hit the high notes - what was that a B flat? - better than Barbra Streisand.... This woman really IS on crack. We all know she wouldn't know a B flat if it came up and bit her on the ass!

The Donald. The decision was WRONG tonight. You have an incompetent asshole and a lazy do-nothing in the boardroom with the person who did EVERYTHING for the project. In this case, the project manager should have "managed" and did a poor job of it. I may boycott the show.....

You saw it DB? That said - let me say - Worst. Immunity. Challenge. Ever. The first to make fire with um,.... matches? Tell me honestly, did Bobby John throw that challenge? There is no way it looked like he was working on that fire, he was intently watching her make hers. But this viewer is VERY happy. Stephanie ROCKS!!! If Tom the firefighter or Stephanie don't win this thing, well - yet another show that screws the real winners!

Seriously. Stephenie (I don't like the spelling of her name ) absolutely dominates like no woman I've ever seen in a mixed competition. Well, "competition" in Survivor's case. Yeah, Tom and Stephenie better be in the final two. As for Bobby John, I don't think that guy's smart enough to really know what he's doing. "Ugggghhh, I'ma supposed ta make fire with these match thingies. Oooh, fire's bright. OUCH... And hot..." Two weeks ago, anybody with a brain would have figured out that Stephenie went against their alliance and DIDN'T vote for the country bumpkin - at least in the first vote (it ended up a tie and she finally did vote for the country bumpkin in the re-vote.) In any case, I'm glad she's still around.

DB on Bobby John = "Steph enie".....my bad I thought the same thing last night as I was watching - I don't think I have EVER seen a woman play the way she plays! She is smart and can I say BEAUTIFUL! yet she isn't even really over confident in her abilities (can you say finger waving A-L-I-C-I-A??). I really thought they were going to merge last night. I think that elimination was a Survivor first. Tribe of one? Hmmm. Question though. Tribe of one? How will she get the outrigger un-beached and back to camp last night all by herself? :p
