VanillaLimeCoke: Biden’s pardened over 8000 people, most of which were issued in the last 2-3 months

I'm off to shower and grab a few beers.

I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! tongue lol

I agree with you Beth. I haven't seen to many of the shows. When did that chick who reminds me of the Nanny get the boot? Hopefully I can watch it tomorrow. IMO Anwar might make it to the top 2.

Just tuned in, and feel compelled to catch up:

1. The Burger King king freaks my husband out, too.

Nadia - I didn't think it was bad. I thought she was ok, not nearly the worst of the night.

Bo - When I heard that he was doing Free Bird, I thought for sure he would be so good, but I was disappointed (anybody else have a memory of being about 18, being drunk in a bar, and holding up a lighter and screaming Free Bird! at the band?) with his performance. Not nearly as good as I imagined.

Anwar - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anthony - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Vonzell - Beautiful, fun, sexy and talented.

Scott - As much as I hate him, as bad as his low notes were, I thought he actually delivered.

Carrie - Excellent job with a very tough song, although it was amusing to see her act as if she had rhythm. I did cringe a bit at that last note, but an overall good job.

Constantstink - I hate him, and I hate the fact that I voted for him tonight. He did a very, very good job. That's a great song, and he did it very well. He still needs a flea dip.

Buffy's Take - The Good, The Bad and the Excellent.....(since we already know who the Ugly is (are):

THE GOOD

Anwar - Still love this guy

Bo - Could there have been a more perfect song for him?

Vonzell - Again - a perfect song choice and she is BEA-U-TIFUL....

Nadia - Yeah, you heard me. I know I am in the minority, but I think VOCALLY she was very good - though she chose a rotten, rotten song. Simon has had it in for her ever since she did her little shout out to Mario a few weeks ago so we will hear no good critiques from him.

THE BAD
Anthony - Boring and extremely out of tune.

Scott - ALMOST "brung" it. His chorus of the song was right on - actually very good. He just couldn't sing the low registers. Got a little cocky there towards the end dishing with Ryan, didn't he?

Carrie - Noone was a bigger Pat Benatar fan in the 80's than me. But this Okie bitch was screamin'. I think Carrie could have sung it a whole lot better had she been better acquainted with the song. She probably had never heard of Pat Benatar....she probably said "Who's he?" I admit, she looked very hot tonight though!

THE EXCELLENT
ConstantPreen - Yep. Best of the night. What a perfect song choice - I was blown away. He has alot more talent than I saw in the beginning of this competition. This song had everything - slow, fast, high, low. He owned it tonight.

Bottom 3 who I hope? Scott, Anthony and Carrie - with a buh-bye to Scott

Bottom 3 - Buffy's prediction? Scott, Nadia, Anthony with a buh-bye to Nadia (no fan base).

I have a sneaky feeling Carrie could be in the bottom 3 for the first time though, although she has nothing to seriously worry about yet.

Are you really serious?

Stop already. Paris Hilton is skin and bones. Mary Kate and Lara Flynn Boyle are just bones. I think Nadia's body (especially her legs) is sexy. She looks really fit to me.

I'm about ten pounds under when you last saw me Geoff and still running my ass off every night. Wanna feed me?

I think Nadia's voice sounded amazing last night, but her song... *yawn* It was so boring!

Scott is like the gum stuck under your shoe that you can't get rid of. I hope he'll go tomorrow. I think the only reason the judges said nice things last night was because Hall & Oates were there. Like, what were they gonna say, "Horrible song selection"??? Eh... I hope we get rid of him soon. Maybe before he goes, he'll do a "Th-th-th-that's all, folks!" I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who thinks he looks like Porky Pig.

Anthony coulda represented 1985 a LOT better than he did. He coulda done "Careless Whisper," or "I Want to Know What Love Is," come on!! Then, "A View to a Kill" would have given him some variety... "You're the Inspiration," one of my favorite cheesy songs of all time... The list goes on. I was disappointed.

Vonzell did an amazing job, although that song always now reminds me of the Will & Grace episode where Matt Damon is guest starring as the straight guy who wants to join the gay men's chorus. But she was great, cute outfit, too.

Now, Carrie's no Pat Benatar, but I think this was her best attempt at anything yet. Finally she didn't look like she just dropped off the kids at soccer practice, nor did she sing an excruciatingly boring song. Although I did love when she covered Heart, too. But anyway... I still think her hair sucked, it never has any movement. But she sang really well.

Bo disappointed me... I love, love, LOVE "Free Bird," but he sounded like the guy from Creed singing it. It was bad, really bad. Oh well.

Constantine was brave to take on Queen, but he pulled it off because he didn't even TRY to be like Freddie Mercury. There were some "off" parts, but overall he rocked.

Anwar, as always, was so-so. I can't get myself to like him.
And his outfits are all so girly... if you look at them objectively, they're all outfits that would look better on a girl.
To say nothing of his song choice... it's one thing if a really manly guy picks a Dionne Warwick song, or if Constantine had done it, it'd be like a funny little joke thing.

But when a guy as feminine as Anwar sings Di, wearing girly jeans and a velvet blazer, it's beyond the realm of "cool guy who's comfortable in his sexuality" and it crosses over into the "Um, okay..." with the obligatory "Not that there's anything wrong with that" comment.

If you know what I mean.

Zia -

Overall, a much better show than last week. And when I say much better - I didn't fall asleep this week.

Best three of the night:
Vonzell - I don't know if she'll win, but she's my favorite. She just keeps getting better.

Constantine - Although his constant preening and smoldering makes me want to pull out all my teeth one by one, he did a great job last night. Admittedly, his voice is very good when he picks the right songs.

Anwar - Best voice in the competition. Very pure. Becoming very one dimensional, though.

Worst Three:
Scott - Listening to him sing in the lower registers was excruciating.

Anthony - Judges praised him?? Huh?? I don't know dawg. You know. It wasn't even aight for me, man.

Nadia - She looks great - I like that her hair gets bigger and bigger each week. She's only an OK singer that needs to pick better songs.

Those are my bottom 3 with Scott leaving.

HOWEVER - I think the real bottom 3 will be Scott, Nadia and Anwar (w/ hopefully Scott leaving). Anwar may be in trouble because of the boring factor. Anthony has the teeny-bopper crowd.

Here's my theory on American Idol - you only need four things to be successful.

1) You have to be a really good singer. Duhhhh.
2) You have to be likable.
3) You have to be able to pick the right songs for your voice - a plus if you can sing fast-paced songs.
4) The audience must know the songs you choose.

That's it. If you got all four, you're set. Vonzell gets it. Constantine and Bo get it.

I don't think Nadia does though - that's why she hasn't been able to get that much of a following.

The remaining contestants lack in at least one of the four areas. Anwar is a little bit of 3 or 4. Scott is #2 definitely. Anthony is lacking in #1.

I'm really thinking Nadia will go tonight. She has little or no fan base and you have to remember most of America is very fickle. They don't necessarily look at the talent factor - as DB said - they want to hear songs that they have heard before and she just tries to be TOO unique in expressing her individuality to the point of alienating fans and fans VOTE!

I looked up top hits of 1977 - the year of Nadia - and I can't for the life of me get why she didn't choose to do Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way". Nadia could have brought down the house with this one - it has highs, lows, a good beat and that most important money note! She would have rocked this song in her 'fro!

I have always been a fan of Nadia's but even I admit this HAS to be the end of the line with her. She has had numerous chances to "bring" it and she has failed to do so. It really is her fault.

The tribe has spoken. Film at 11.

Whoo AI Talk

Cutting to the chase - Bottom 3 who I think;

Scott, Ant'ney and Nadia - with Scott going.

I agree with Randy on Constinstink. Good showmanship - but if you listen he wasn't that good in regards to voice.

Scott, I think nailed some of the song and was very good in those parts but the parts he didn't 'nail' - well overall not good enough.

Nadia - what the hell song was that ? And I agree, girl needs a Happy Meal or something and supersize it. I think she is pretty have been saying that, but her legs last night - reminded me of one of PipeCleaner dolls with a dress on.

Carrie - one of my favorites, I know I am in the minority here. I like her voice and I really like her look - her real look, the the slutty Sandy from the end of Grease look. But I didn't like her performance much last night - although I like Pat Bennatar a lot. And as much as I like Carrie gee it was really awkward to try and sway her hips back and forth, uggh if that was a forced effort there.

Vonzell - great song choice, sung ok but because of the song she had the audience.

Bo - nice version of FreeBird but nothing special.

Ant'ney - Can someone teach him how to pick songs.

Anway - good voice, good control - but what is he doing pick a Dionne Warwick song ? I think he is 'metro.

Scott is going this week, with Nadia second.

Oh - what happened with Hall and Oates - they looked like Wax Figures. They were scarry especially the dark hair one.

Hall and Oates probably are coming off a heroine high or something. Those guys have been dope fiends since they first came on the market. I think they were being friendly to Scott. They should have shot him on the spot.

"this" meaning watch the show....right?

Actually I found out by accident that even the live shows come on an hour later here for us Southwesterners.

Then the hour I spent to watch Amazing Race (and discuss afterwards) well, "live" will have to encompass about 5 hours when it is all said and done!

Why in the world do we need an hour long show tonight? I bet they are gonna plug their charity single and do a cheesy dance number.

Trap Door....I'm telling you. We would be done in 7 minutes flat!

Hall and Oates are pushing 60 so they are doing pretty good if you think about it.

Tell me though...which came first - Scott picking a Hall and Oates song, or Hall and Oates coming to see the show?

Maybe they wouldn't sign the release to the song without being there in person to plug themselves?

Quite a plug - "Biggest selling tour of all time"

Really?

Did they say the had the biggest selling tour of all time? I must have missed that part. Yeah, they're on crack or something.

I think Scott probably wanted to score some points with the crowd, so maybe they told the contestants what star would be in the audience so Scott picked it.

Then he is smarter than he looks.

Seriously, it is so easy to bash Scott, but based on last night's performances alone - HE was NOT the worst of the night!

I still won't buy the biggest selling duo of all time. What, did they have like 4 songs? I think Jan and Dean are more popular then them.

*Waiting for DB's "Who's Jan and Dean"? comment. :p

Really?
I think he said biggest selling DUO of all time. [/b][/quote]That DOES make more sense. Duh.

I believe it. I was a huge fan of theirs back in da day....

As just a little Buffy ...

Personally I never really liked them much.

Frigg... I'm still stuck on the who's Hall and Oates question!

Seriously though, I don't listen to much music. I listen to the crooners, classical music and R&B - anything that makes me sleepy.

What's weird is I was thinking of this last night - I don't ever listen to their music anymore but their music always reminds me of a certain time in my life. A really good time. Not sure if I would even like their music today!

Yeah, takes me back to the teenage Buffy - oh the mem'ries.

Seriously a few years ago, I had a 15 year old youth worker working for me. A bunch of us were talking about music and Alice Cooper came up and NO LIE - this kid asks "Who's she?"

That's funny you guys think Nadia's too skinny. This is the only place I've ever heard that. Then again, I need to get out of L.A. more often. Everyone here says you can never be too rich or too thin. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's the official motto of the county. I think it's even in the great seal. Right next to "Never let anyone know your natural hair color or your natural bra size."

Anyway, Hall and Oates DID look like crap last night. Who was it who said they looked like wax figures? That was right on. The lighter one looked like a pervert, and the darker one looked like someone stepped on his face or something. It was kinda scary, actually!

Are Jan & Dean still alive, by the way?

I still need to know why Paula feels the need to interrupt Simon everytime he talks. She get's on my last nerve.

Maybe next week Constantine should make her feel at home and sing, "Because I got high..because I got high..because I got high".

Really? Lucky you. I always feel like I need a shower after watching him perform.

Or in the words of Scarlett O'Hara: I feel like he knows what I look like without my shimmy!
